I don't think I've seen one bad review of the EP5.
Arken does have some good deals.
I picked up the SH4 4-16 with all the add ons for $399 when they ran that deal.
Mount, covers, throw lever, level, sunshade and a rear bag.
When I first seen that scope the 34mm tube kinda killed it as I didn't want to buy another mount so I went with a Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50 for $300, took it out once and didn't like it, could barely see the target at 100 yds back under trees, definitely couldn't see impacts on a steel plate.
Then Arken came out with the bundle deal and I dropped another $400.
Took a $100 hit on the DB when I sold it with a mount.
The Arken mount has a 20 MOA cant which is not needed for anything I shoot.
With a 100 yd zero I had about 70 MOA till it topped out.
My Ariska scope level wouldn't fit under it with a 1.5" mount either, fat S.O.B.
My .308 that's an 800 yd rifle, only needs about 25 MOA so I went with a Midwest Industries 1.93" 0 MOA mount as I like taller mounts.
Oh the irony.
Gotta love those turrets.
If you have to be quiet for some reason don't mess with the turrets as they snap pretty good.
Excellent reticle as well for a FFP scope, it works well at all ranges.
I think the SH4 glass is pretty good, the EP5 uses Japanese glass and seems to be even better.
They are big beefy scopes, hefty.
If I needed something in the 5-25 range and that's what I had to spend on a scope I would get it.
