As an owner of both brands I can say I own more Savages than Tikkas but I like them both the Tikka is a smoother action IMO
Buy Which ever you prefer no wrong choice between those 2 in my eyes
All excellent points @Varminterror and I very well may switch to a 6BR/BRA/dasher not sure yet but you have convinced me to keep it as is for now final thought/ question is the 6.5x284 a short action like the little sixes?
What I’m getting at is could a switch this action to the small 6’s?
I highly recommend the 6.5 Creedmoor in the last decade no other Cartridge has sold as many rifles their is a reason why the gun reviewers get a 6.5 Creedmoor to review its Easy to shoot and Uber Accurate!
Edit/I forgot to mention I am currently shooting F/TR with a 223 I was looking for something with a little bit more bullet weight and faster to beat the wind so to speak
Hey everyone,
Ok so I am thinking about pulling the barrel off my savage F class 6.5x284 Norma and replacing it with a 6.5 Creedmoor
reasons why
better barrel life so I can practice more
easier to find brass/cheaper
I am invested heavily in the Creedmoor
