Good analogy. I have to sit and think a good bit before I can remember what standard brand is associated with what luxury brand. It's usually a process of elimination.

That's what I thought but when I met my wife, she corrected me and said "One who PLAYS with most toys laughs at the ones who DIE with most toys".
And after 29 years, I have found she is rarely wrong.

Heard a guy on Facebook the other day say he was too old to buy more guns. Sounded pretty fatalistic. I hope I never get 'that' old.

I too recently acquired a CZ 457 Varmint .22 and was thinking about another one in 17HMR. Will have to postpone it for awhile since I bought a new car today. Anyway....the Varmnint is a very nice rifle. I did change the trigger for a Jard 10 oz. Good trigger, but I have to do some practicing. The best ammo I've shot in it is Norma Match .22, followed closely by Wolf Match Target (made by Eley) and SK Standard +. The Norma Match shot better than SK S+ at 50 yds and much better at 100. Overall, the CZ 457 is as good or better than any of my more expensive .22s.

CZ 457 Varmint with Jard trigger set at 4 ounces. Shoots great and likes Blazers as well. Blazers are Mini Mags without the copper wash. I was lucky enough to buy a couple of cases when they were $18 a brick. They can be had now for around $33 if you get lucky.

I'm just happy to see a cheek riser on a rifle that doesn't have the scope mounted three inches off the barrel.
