My wife just picked one up, any issues with certain ammo?

Any tips, tricks or other stuff for it? TIA.

Start with Mini Mags for first hundred rounds or so. Then you can switch to bulk stuff. It’s a great little gun and my wife’s favorite. Enjoy!

I picked one up about 2 months ago. It runs Fed auto match, mini mags great. You want to run ammo with 1200 fps or faster in the beginning until you get it broken in. I got about 600 rounds through it now and it's running great.

FWIW, the one I had was ONLY reliable with CCI Mini-Mags. The cheaper bulk ammo suffered from mis-fires, failures to feed or extract and would fail to lock the slide back when empty. YMMV

It’s worth noting that buying P22 now new means you’re getting a Gen 2. Captured recoil spring for easier takedown and assembly, and better reliability.

Mine is 100% with Remington Golden Bullets. That’s all I run in it. I ran a box of Mini-Mags through it and they worked too. They like higher velocity ammo. The slower stuff doesn’t have enough power to cycle the slide far enough back to pick up the next round.

It wish my wife picked up guns. She has been shooting my P22 a lot lately to get familiarized with pistols.

Mine runs good on pretty much everything. It's also horribly inaccurate with pretty much everything.
