Using .45 GAP cases for top break Webleys?

I decided recently that the time has come to own a Webley top break and am keeping an eye out for one, preferably in .455 Webley, but I figure it will be easier to get one that's shaved and hasn't been destroyed from using factory ammo. My figuring was if I didn't want to deal with moon clips I...

Ruger single six .32 hr mag

There's just more demand for the small primers, thus as supplies increase the costs will go down. Large... IDK if they will ever come down in price and they could likely end up becoming like percussion caps where they're out of stock for eternity and the industry refuses to improve supply. For...

New Heritage Roscoe .38 special DA Revolvers

I've been wondering why none of the makers of these budget single actions hasn't had the idea to make a 5 shot .38 Special that's not plus P. You can't tell me people wouldn't be interested in a $200 Heritage .38 even if it isn't a six shooter. I guess these companies all figure that if someone...

New Heritage Roscoe .38 special DA Revolvers

Heritage does make a steel frame .22 version of the Rough Rider, several actually, and that frame is what the .32 was built on.

New Heritage Roscoe .38 special DA Revolvers

Taurus doesn't make the 85 anymore, they make the 856 (6 shot .38) and the 605 (5 shot .357) and don't do a high polish blue for either. This is probably the same design as the 85, possibly being made on the same machines, just at Heritage.

New Heritage Roscoe .38 special DA Revolvers

It's going to be smaller than the Rock Island and it looks better than it too and I expect it will feel better made with regards to how the cylinder opens and closes. Prices look like they'll be under 300, so it hits that sweet spot people are often looking for, but this is still Heritage we're...

    Pondering a Taurus 692

@Styx wanted a report and I'm sure everyone else would like to hear how things went. I put about 100 rds of 9 and 50 of .38/.357 thru it today. First, I started with 9 without using the moon clips as after my troubles with the J frame 905 without using clips I wanted to see if the larger frame...

    Do I really NEED one?

What other .45 Colts you looking to get? If you're not going to run heavy Kieth .44 Special thru a Ruger Blackhawk and you're already more well set with .45, it's hard to suggest you need a .44 Spl revolver of any flavor. Don't get me wrong, the .44 Blackhawk is a nice revolver and one I had...

    Pondering a Taurus 692

If you want a short barrel that has even lower velocities due to the porting, sure. I got the long barrel, but if they had made a non prted 3 inch Executive, I would have paused to consider it.

Ruger single six .32 hr mag

That's practically every Ruger wheelgun that's not a .22, SP101, or LCR now. Seeing what is and is not available for Ruger revolvers, I have a suspicion that Ruger is not producing their larger frame or non Wrangler single action revolvers currently and that it's not from a lack of demand for...

Ruger single six .32 hr mag

You could get the .327 Single Seven and increase the power (plus an extra round) but one thing I don't like with the .327's is how large the throats are, meaning you're going to get gas blow by and I don't care for that, especially with lead bullets. The .32 Mag, from what I can gather, don't...

    Are 44 Revolvers Dying?

All factory production .45 Colt revolvers are proofed to take SAAMI spec 14k PSI loads. You think Pietta and Uberti are making SAA's that can only take 600 fps with a 165gr pill? And if you call a 250gr slug going 800 fps is a mouse fart, you must think .44 Mag is standard normal stuff.

    Are 44 Revolvers Dying?

Key word being most, not all.

    Are 44 Revolvers Dying?

    1. Yes, because more people are buying revolvers when they could be buying autos. 2. No, because at no point in time is 10mm ever going to outsell 9mm pistols. 10mm is growing in popularity compared to what it was 20 years ago, 9mm can only ever lose popularity because it is on top.

    Are 44 Revolvers Dying?

When I'm talking about the decline of the market for revolvers, I'm talking about its frequency of use, sales, and new models relative to that of autos. For every new revolver that's come out there's probably been 5 autos. Go to any concealed carry class, how many taking the class are using a...
