Beratta 81FS 32 cal

Checking the Beretta USA website I see no listing for the 32 cal version of the Cheetah, although they do mention it.

Does anyone know if this gun is available for sale in the US?

Thanks

i believe it was available, they don't import it anymore because it's not popular and for good reason. .32ACP is a big european cartridge, they probably knew it's appeal was limited.

model 81 - 12-rounds of .32ACP
model 84 - 13 rounds of .380ACP

now aside from the power disparity there's the issue of rimlock in .32ACP, semi-rimmed cartridges are bad, I don't know why JMB designed it that way, not one of his better moments. so in short, it's not really available and I question your patriotism and knowledge of gunfu for even asking

[adding semi-rimmed cartridges to "dead to me" list]

Apparantly Beretta makes the gun work well regardless of cartridge rim design. Also, I will assume you made the above statement in jest.

The .380 is a far better selling caliber in the US than a .32 acp.
With only one additional round in the .32 I have to agree that the pistol would be a poor seller here.
I have a weakness for .32 acp handguns and will say that the 15 shot Czech CZ-83 in .32 acp would be a better choice than the larger, lower capacity, Beretta.

I have not yet looked at the CZ-83. I have owned a Beretta 84 and like the feel and fit. I will check out the Czech model and see how it is. Thanks
