The situations where a snub revolver in the hands of a skilled civilian is insufficient are extraordinarily rare. Quick deployment (whatever that is for you) is far more important than large capacity, IMHO.

I forgot that I have the Sig P230, also. It's okay. It looks prettier than the Makarov or the FEG's, but it doesn't really shoot any better or worse than the other 380's. Pictures of a Makarov target from when I was younger, the Sig P230, and the PP clone in 32acp. The Makarov and Sig are okay...

IMHO they're the best choice for people who don't practice much, have hand/wrist problems, or just like them a lot. I don't have any data about it, though, so I don't know if they're more or less popular than they used to be. I prefer revolvers for CC or HD, but sometimes I carry a small 9mm...

I have Hungarian PP and PPK clones, and a Russian Makarov. The Makarov and the PPK are both in 380. The Makarov is easier to shoot due to being larger and having better sights. The PP in 32acp is obviously the easiest to shoot, but the Makarov is really no problem. None of them are difficult...

I like my Single Six in 32 H&R magnum a lot. I have several revolvers in that caliber, and the Single Six is easily the most accurate. In my mind, 32 Federal magnum can be close in "power" to 38 special, and 22 magnum is a loud 22 that's expensive. YMMV. It took me months to find this one for...

I own a bunch of Taurus handguns. They're okay. They go bang. They're functional, but shooting them isn't like shooting a nice S&W... Except this one. It's from the early/mid 1980's. It's one of the early/"old" Model 66's that has an internal S&W-style hammer block instead of the later transfer...

I have the 45acp version. It's cool and I like it. Moonclips are easy to use and NBD. At the range I usually don't bother. Most of my revolvers in autoloading calibers dump the brass easily anyway. If you're the target of a random street crime, you won't have time for a reload.

Interesting thought there. I have a Colt 1903, a PP, and a PPK. Just for shooting, the Colt is the nicest (even with the tiny sights). If I had to carry one of them (which I don't), it would be one of the Walthers, due to them being DA and safer.

This should probably be merged with the burro defense thread? :)

Favorite SA 357 (mostly) steel revolver, and a medium frame DA with nice grips and trigger.
