What gunsmithing or repairs have you done today

Cleaned my CZ 457 22lr. Had to use a. 17 cal rod and .20 brush and mops. CZ'S barrels are real tight. I also finished up by using my .17 jag and .22 cal pellets. Scrubbed the breach with. 22.cal bore brush.

Now,at my next range trip I'll have to season the barrel before shooting groups.. it likes SK Standard Plus right now.

I swapped out the factory gas tube in my LMT 308 for a BRT EZ-TUNE gas tube. All it is is a smaller diameter gas port to reduce the gas. The goal is to make this a dedicated suppressed rifle.

The LMT MRP system (a one piece upper/handguard combo) is made to easily swap barrels. Simply loosen two Torx screws and the barrel slides out of the receiver/hand guard. It was easy and fast.

I am building a 358 Win Conversion on a M-96 1943 Husky action, arsenal new, never fitted to a barrel. So far I have the action trued, bolt face squared, 100% lug hand lapped and the receiver faced, extractor fitted, feed ramp, follower and feed rails polished, the 358 Win cartridges fitted to feed and extract, plus hold on the bolt face, drilled and tapped, barrel mounted threaded and head-spaced, bottom metal done w trigger guard reshaped, allen head action screws fitted, Timney trigger fitted to the action and sear/safety, sporter thumb safety installed, top action tang sloped, stripper clip mound removed, Cerakoted, stock inletted, cross bolt with English walnut plugs installed, action 100% bottom metal glass bedded, bolt handle bent and swept, and the bolt body jeweled.

Now the long side starts, the rough and finish sanding and stock finish of a sanded in oil finish.

Just decided to build a 358 Winchester rifle. Have a number of 358 rifles just not a 358 Win. IMG_0655.jpeg IMG_0658.jpeg IMG_0659.jpeg
