I was sitting at work and was thinking about rebuilding my handgun collection after I graduate paramedic school (5 weeks to go!) and I realized I have carried a fairly large number of different platforms and calibers. So here is a list of all the pistols I have cc'd. You should also post your list and maybe a short reason of why you switched to something different.
Bersa thunder 380. This was my first pistol I bought for cc and I still have it. It resides at my moms house where she uses it to shoot armadillos.
Star bm 9mm. thing was heavy and not completely reliable. Plus mags were hard to come by.
S&w sd9ve. Needed money and so it got sold.
Springfield xd9sc. One of my favorite pistols that I shot really well and carried comfortably. I got caught up in barrel length vs velocity and so traded it for...
Springfield xd service 9mm. Sucker was fun to shoot but super hard to conceal which led to getting a couple of smaller guns.
Rossi 38 special. Dumbest thing I have bought thus far, I couldn't shoot it for anything. Several hundred rounds in and I still wasn't capable of hitting things with it. So I traded it and the Springfield xd service for a glock 19
Glock 19. Still my favorite gun and it's on me right now. It was originally a 2nd gen that I sent in for the frame upgrade, I now have a second 19 that is also 2nd gen and it will remain that way. But when I sent off the 19 for the frame upgrade I needed another carry gun for the time being.
Norinco 1911 45acp. I hated carrying a full size 1911 and it lasted maybe 2 weeks before I traded it for a glock 26
Glock 26. It took my 19 three weeks at glock for the frame upgrade and the 1911 sucked to carry (for me at least). Loved the 26 but when the 19 got back I went back to carrying the 19 for ammo capacity. So the 26 got sold.
After selling the 26 I realized I now had nothing for jogging so I bought the lightest double stack 9mm I could find.
Kel Tec p11 9mm. Thing worked for me I just didn't like the recoil. Bought a pf9 at the same time but never carried it. Went back to the 19 in a fanny pack while jogging.
Glock 43 for jogging. I thought and still think that gun is stupid. Same height as a 26 but litterally [ ____ ] <--- this much thinner for less capacity. Happily sold it.
S&w 442 38 special again for carry at work or jogging. 5 shots isn't enough in my opinion and so it got sold. Went back to the 19 for work and jogging.
And here or there I carried a sigma 9mm, polish p 64, hungarian pa 63 and a Taurus revolver at some point. Maybe a couple others that I'm forgetting. What have you carried?
