Which revolver or semi auto you don't own " only " because of the price it would cost you to own it new? Myself the limit I set to spend on handguns is $1000.00. Now the handgun i'd love to add to my collection but the price tag is way over my budget is a Nighthawk Talon .45 ACP 5" but $3000.00 +, i'll never own one.

Any of the top end 1911 makers. It's not that I don't appreciate the fine craftsmanship and the genuine value in the firearm, it's just that I absolutely cannot justify paying that for a firearm that I can't shoot any better than my springer 1911s. And again, not saying the custom guns can't shoot circles around my springers but I can't personally shoot well enough for that to matter.

Also I'd never pay for another colt snake gun. Had one, couldn't justify having such an expensive piece that I was too worried to shoot.

Sig P210 or M49.

If I can find a clean one at <$2,000, I’ll buy one, but I’m not seeing any.

a registered 357 magnum with i think an 8 inch barrel. the one i shot from another range regular was super smooth. if i had it, it probably wouldn't be as smooth though as i probably couldn't help but shoot it regularly. the guy who owns it only shoots it a few rounds a year. he bought it for $2000 years ago.

I know it’s not that expensive but since they came out, I’ve wanted an M&P 2.0. Moving, and various other expenses have made it a lower priority.

The good new is that having time I’ve more time to look at them closer and think about my needs. So when I get one it’ll probably be the 5” as I plan to use it for three gun.

After that, I agree a high end 1911 or better yet 2011 us way out of my budget for the near and semi distant future.

Smith 629 5” although I guess I could sell my redhawk to fund it
The TRR8 would be another
BRNO 7.5fk will be on that list if/when I ever see one on sale

The EDC X9. To me, it may be the perfect handgun. It’s tough justifying spending $3000 for a gun I don’t need at this time.

Let's see...

Colt Single Action Army, SIG P210, any 1911 from Les Baer, Ed Brown, or Nighthawk, vintage S&W Model 27 with a 5" barrel, and a vintage S&W K22.

Broomhandle Mauser with shoulder stock in excellent plus condition

Lee straight pull 6mm in excellent plus condition

The one specific would be a Diamondback .22lr 4” nickel, been wanting one since I was a kid. Funny thing is I grew up shooting the Old Man’s match target so its not like I wanted for a quality.22

Magnum Research 50 AE. Or more 1911s.

BTW: Thanks Derek, for fixing the issue. I was beginning to thing that it was "Ground Hog Day". Lol

None. I am happy with my little collection. A Glock 17, two SA M1911A1s, a S&W 629, a Ruger Mk II .22 pistol, a Mossberg 500 shotgun, & a Ruger 10/22 rifle.

Far too many to list. Probably anything priced over about $800. The biggest bite I've taken on a handgun was a Remington "Enhanced" Commander-type R1911 in stainles that was $734 shipped and transferred to me, but I got $100 of that back in a rebate. Potential of retention-of-value would also be a serious requirement.

If it's a factory revolver, I've been fortunate enough to be able to buy what I've wanted. There are a few more I'd have if they were a better value - meaning I want them a little, but they cost a little more than a little, so I don't have them.

Overall, the only ones I really want which I haven't bought because of price are all custom revolvers. My current "desire" is a swap cylinder GP100 done by Reeder, with 256mag and 255 Banshee cylinders.

I suppose one project I'd like to finish, which I just haven't yet, is transplanting the 5 shot 480Ruger guts out of a Super Blackhawk into an old Large Frame Vaquero, to have an "all Ruger" 480R Vaquero. I have the 480 SBH, and I have old Vaqueros which could be converted, but I haven't committed the time to doing the transplant quite yet. Only real reason is I'll end up with an SBH frame with minimal resale value, so the net cost to me is higher than I want it to be, right now.
