My bucket list guns are a S&W 581 or model 13-1 or -2
Also lookin for a Service 6 (fixed sights)

Might not be able to walk away from a 44 mag.
Had to sell my Redhawk to finance my move to my new home.

My bucket list is:

A Colt SAA
A Colt Woodsman
A Colt Python
A Colt New Service.

I have all but the Python, instead I have a Colt M357 -- same gun, but without the cosmetics.

Just to test Driftwoods “bench depth” so to speak...

How about a BFR 30-30
Griswold & Gunnison
3” Hotchkiss
Minigun
Dardick that actually fires a tround
And for good measure a Chinese carousel with dragons on it instead of the western version with the horses which are boring.

Nope, ya got me pard. Don't have any of those.

Ever shot one? The intrigue turns into obsession. I require an 8”.

No , never did. Never even seen one in real time. Not a lot of them around , apparently.

I linked a listing for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with the (cool-looking/Uuuugly) Cyclops. If that posting constitutes an infraction , I apologize. I have no investment or connection to it. I did not know of any other means of posting an image.

Well as soon as Publisher's Clearing House picks me I would start looking hard for a trio of Pythons from 2&3/4 to 4 to 6 inches just because.

I would definitely add afunctional Kerr to my "Lust List"

I checked off my main bucket list gun a couple of weeks ago. Model 27-2 with 8 3/8" Barrel. Looked for over 2 years for a nice shooter grade that was under 1k. Found one that was probably 97%. Really nice. Most would never shoot it. In 2 weeks I've put over 700 rounds through it and will continue.
Only other gun on my bucket list right now is a Model 17 with 8 3/8" Barrel. I have found a new passion for .22 Smith Revolvers. First time in years my bucket list has only one gun on it, but I'm sure I'll see something and the list will grow again. I really hope I never get tired of wanting. To me the hunt is almost as much fun as owning.

If I had to pick just one:

Smith & Wesson Model 544 Texas Commemorative, .44-40, 5" barrel.

A year or two ago, I saw a Model 544 over a few months at a couple of different gun shows. Almost bought it but decided I did not want to load another cartridge at the time or shoot a commemorative gun. My loss. Nice revolver though.

My bucket list included a Chiappa Rhino, a Webley RIC, a British Bulldog, a Dan Wesson 15-2, a Colt Detective Special, a Remington 1858 'Bulldog' cartridge conversion, a S&W I-frame .32. I have gotten- or in the case of the Remington have made- all of these.

Still on the list- a Merwin & Hubert Army revolver, an Astra Jovino Terminator .44 Magnum, a S&W Terrier in .38 S&W. I'm sure there are others, but these are what comes immediately to mind.

Howdy Again

Gotta tell you, that 8 3/8" barrel makes the gun really front heavy, particularly since the barrel only has a 22 caliber hole in it. This one came with oversized target grips, which really help holding it steady. That's a six inch Model 17-3 under it for comparison.

And yes, I really love S&W 22s too.

Just can't help myself. Merwin Hulbert (no &) 2nd Model Pocket Army. 44-40. Yes, it occasionally shows up at a CAS match. I only shoot it with Black Powder.

I had a 6" 686 on my list for years with the caveat that it had to be at, what I considered, a good price. The other week one of those showed up at the LGS/shooting range at a price I couldn't say no to. I put off purchasing a new gun safe to buy it.

My list of wants would be:
....My needs are either:
5" 629
....

Got one and it's just a perfect woods gun. Short enough to carry easily, yet you've got full .44mag at your disposal. I had mine Magna-Ported. Does NOT help with recoil (and they warn about this) but it makes muzzle rise almost negligible.

I've had 4, 5 and 6" 29s/629s and if I could get away with using a 4" for deer I would, but Ohio necessitates a 5" barrel.
I've still got the grips, scope and mount to set up my next 5" 629 just the way I want.

Tinker,

I was over seas when Great Grand Daddy's M&H disappeared from Grand Uncle's house right after he died. I had wanted that thing since first seeing it as a kid but you know how family property goes when someone passes on. Looked just like Driftwood's. Never got to fire it.

Jovino sent a Terminator to the gun rag I worked for in the early '80s and it showed up on my desk. Jovino and my publisher Myron were old NYC buddies it seems. I would not call it a pocket pistol! It was nicer to shoot with the hot loads my buddy used in his charter Bulldog than the same loads in the Bulldog. I will say that with factory .44 Mag you definitely knew you had fired it. The one I tested passed my upside down test....but oddly had mechanical issues if it was held at what would have been about a 7:30 position, repeatedly. Never could figure out why and do not know if it was unique to that Terminator or was a trait of the breed. I decided not to buy it after I submitted the article, but the need to pay rent and eat was a factor.

Dead Best Bud from highschool until the big C got him had a .38 S&W Terrier as a carry gun for a couple of years until his Dad asked for it back for wife #2. I rather liked it and as you seem happy with .38 S&W cartridges I think you would absolutely love it..... until your wife got a hold of it and you never got to see it again!

kBob- I had a Jovino Terminator back at the dawn of the 90's. I bought it from a fellow for next to nothing; he'd inherited it and didn't like guns. I thought a .44 Mag snubby was stupid, but knew I could turn it for twice what I paid-- only I made the mistake of shooting it first... it was sweet. It was so nice to shoot with .44 Special or mild .44 Magnum loads I couldn't bear to part with it. Still, I was kinda embarrassed to own it. I sold it when wife #1 and I moved to NYC for work, and have regretted it ever since.

I never really thought about it in depth but did some thinking on it now.

I think the gun I want most is a Freedom Arms Model 83 in 454 Casull with a 6" barrel and a n additional cylinder in 45 Colt.

After that I would like a S&W K-22 Masterpiece w/6" barrel. ( M-17) and maybe a Registered Magnum but that would be third in the list and not as important as the first two.
