I started doing some cleaning this morning and dug out the 22 handguns.

The H&R at the top was my Dad's and it makes the rounds between myself and my brothers.
I just ordered a Nelson conversion for my recently acquired 1911 so that should be in the mix around Christmas. Also have 2 10/22's and a Henry H001.

I shoot the 617 more than any of them with the 41 a close second. The GSG is a winter race gun project.

Nice family photo. I especially like the 41 and the other S&W, 617 you say? I have those Rugers and they are really fun to shoot.

S&W 617, 10 shot, 6" barrel. I use it in pistol league. Very accurate.

My favorite of the bunch is the H&R. I always like their older guns.

I've always considered the Ruger MK pistols with the standard barrel as homely. That's really close to ugly. I consider the target and hunter models to be fine looking pistols along with the MK III and IV 22/45 lite models. Stick a big red dot sight on a rail mount on top of any of them and they become ugly. Using a dove tail mounted red dot allows them to retain most of their good looks.

I beg to differ sir!

The Ruger Mk.II Model 512 is one beautiful .22 pistol, both in how it looks and how it performs.

I was actually referring to the awful reflex sight sitting on top.
The picture in post 9 is my own MKII bull bbl./reflex.
No offense intended
