What knives are on your list?

Good score.

Those RR slip joints are really good knives for their price. I hate to say it, but the fit and finish on my RR knives has been better than my Case knives the last several times. I do prefer a carbon steel over stainless, though.

Still, if I'm carrying a "nice" slip joint, I go with something a little more high end like a GEC. But I carry a big ol chunky 6 blade RR trapper at work. Lotta good walk and talk for $16.

I have absolutely no use for it, but would love to have an extra large Cold Steel Espada.

There's a Hackman folder unopened in the packaging that is available, but I doubt I'm going to pay the money it will bring to add it to my collection. :(

My wife wants to get me a rescue knife. She thinks it's weird that I'm into guns and knives and that I've never gotten one even though I've been running around in vehicles with flashing lights for 21 years. Not all of them are calls for toe pain times 3 weeks. Occasionally they're actually legitimate.

So it's apparently between the H&K Karma (Made by Hogue) and the Spyderco Assist. She asked me what was out there.

I didn't want to end up with something like this.

Okay, well I didn't get either one.

The Karma felt weird in my hand and while the Spyderco Assist would be excellent for some aspects of my job (seatbelts, backboard straps etc), it wouldn't do well in others (opening boxes or plastic packaging).

So I went with a Spyderco Manix 2 in black G10 with the idea of switching out the handle to orange or blue at some point.

This knife wasn't even on any list. So I guess sometimes the lists we make don't mean anything.

It's my first Spyderco folder. Only other Spyderco knife that I have is a Spyderco Ronin (first model) fixed blade.

Yea, got it.

The white stripe is where my name (First initial and last name) is engraved.

As a Spyderco it has a weird flick. Can kinda do it with my thumb, but forget about doing it with my middle finger. If I try pulling the tabs down and flicking my wrist sometimes it bounces back.

Gonna have to work on that.

Donated my auto AFO II serrated stainless blade to a nice TSB agent in the Tucson airport when I forgot it was in my pocket. I was going to replace it anyway. I picked up a BM carbon steel blade auto, with a tonto point, a nice replacement. Next time I fly just have to remember to put it in my checked baggage.

That SUCKS.

Usually they'll have envelopes with postage that you can buy to mail back to yourself or the airline will retrieve a bag and allow you to check it.

Unless it was a close family member needing bone marrow to live I'd consider skipping a flight for that. :)
(I'm only kinda joking).

I have a drawer full of knifes of various description but I wanted something a bit different. I had a price point Bowie on order at Amazon but cancelled when I ran across videos on YouTube of the Old Hickory 7" butcher knife and a KaBar sheath that fit it perfectly. It seemed just odd enough to fit my desires. I ordered them together on Amazon for right at $20 for the package. Should ship Monday.

That's dyed maple burl, the guard was made from copper bar. The blade is easy to hone,as long as I keep the grit fine; crock stick sharpener.
