Hi,
Thank you for having me. Most of what I do (work and play) is related to firearms. I am starting a custom handgun business and I thought this might be a great place to talk to people and get some great ideas.

A little of my background:
I have spent over 20 years in gunsmithing, tool &die, machining and firearms instructor (among other related things). It is something I really enjoy. I especially enjoy the precision hand fitting.
Thanks Again :)

(I have an old membership under the name jjmotsch but this is my new updated account)

Somehow I missed this thread. Welp, I'm in NC and I fish. A lot. But wait, there's more! I'm also in to AR's, AK's, precision rifles and reloading. I enjoy building a rifle and working up loads to achieve the most accuracy I'm capable of producing. Which isn't much since I'm not the best shot. lol

Thanks for having me here!

Hi im rio ive owned 7 hand guns since i was 17 im 28 only went to the range once. Not very knowledgeable, i jus stepped into the world of rifles i traded my glock 19 for an anderson am15

Hi. I'm from Australia and nuts about guns. I've lurked here for some time and just joined to contribute where I have some knowledge. Mainly interested in hunting firearms but will have a read of pretty much anything from concealed carry to long range precision.

Hi!
This thread is a place for new THR members to introduce themselves.

Hello, I’m JD I live in Florida and originally from England....gun enthusiast, with a respect for the firearm community. My intent is to connect with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy conversation, promote my YouTube channel also

Thanks for the add, I'm retired from USAF Security Police E-7 and from Miami-Dade Aviation Department. I've been around firearms for over 40 years. Participated in black powder group. While I was in the Air Force I volunteered to attend M-60 school often. Since retiring I've built up a few AR 15's, built up a .300AAC Blackout. A few handguns and black powder pistols.

Hey everyone. My name is Jim and I live in Colorado. Retired two years ago and getting back into what I use to do. My passion is shooting and reloading. Getting into some long range shooting with a 300 RUM. Great fun and lots of good people out there you haven't meet yet. My next project build is a 6.5 Creedmoor. Any thoughts on the best barrels to use without breaking the bank please let me know.

Just found this board and it looked like my brand of whacky. I'm a former LEO, Animal Control Officer. I got my first gun as a Christmas present when I was 10. I'm an NRA member, gun club member that holds a charity event for a battered women's shelter every year. I love shooting and introducing shooting to people that have never been shooting before. I am currently saving up to buy a Ruger Vaquero for my 50th birthday this may. How's that for an introduction?

Good to see new folks show up.

We hope you enjoy the discussions and hope you to appreciate that THR is different that most other firearms discussion forums with our emphasis on civility.

Hi there. A bit about me. I've been shooting for a lot of years. First gun I ever fired was my LEO father's .38. As soon as I was old enough to have a toy gun (hey this was the 50's and every channel on TV was loaded with cowboy shows) Dad took me to the range, let me blaze away with my new cap pistol and then handed me his old Colt with one round in it. Big difference between something from Mattel and something from Colt. Lesson learned.
Mostly now I like shooting my double deuces because it's a whale of a lot cheaper to shoot .22's than .44's.
I'm ex-Army, work in the pawn industry and have dealt in guns since the 80's. The more I learn the more I realize there's so much I don't know.

I’m looking for some ideas from forum members on some firearm related questions for several of the older firearms I have. Though I do not hunt as much as I used to, and when I do I usually bow hunt, I regularly carry. I look forward to getting and sharing with others on the forum.
