Hello everyone, I've followed this site for years and finally joined last night.
Thanks for having me!
Respects, Pedro.

Hi I'm scott and look forward to lurking and learning. I've been into weapons of all types for many years now. I'm a firearms instructor and RSO for the local sheriff's office and like I tell my students , I'll be a student for the rest of my life.

Hey. Noob here from WV. Pro 2nd (of course). Love to Target shoot - my favorite noise is the print p-ting of metal targets. Hoping to learn more about defensive shooting, tips and tricks, anything really and learn from awesome people.
Hi!
This thread is a place for new THR members to introduce themselves.

Tell us a little about who you are and what kind of gun stuff you're interested in!

Hello Everyone -

Been lurking around and reading all the posts and information I can on this form. I really enjoy reading all the feedback from the various folks here and soaking in all the knowledge everyone has to offer.

Have owned guns and shot for a long time, took up an interest in the AR platform a couple of years ago, and just recently (within the last year) started reloading for some of my guns.

Look forward to being a more active participant, offering feedback where I can and continue learning from you all.

Hey guys long time lurker. Been reading story's on here since 2010. Figured it was about time. I enjoy target practice, training my babies, and hunting.

Hello everyone.
I am a single-shot fanatic but love guns of all shapes and action type.
My favorite by far is the Thompson Center Encore and Contender and the Ruger #1.
I love bolt guns as well, probably my favorite is my Browning BBR in .338 Win Mag. Superb rifle that cost me $369 brand new several years ago. NFS of course.

Bye for now. Lot of reading to do.

NJ born but Fla since '75. Ride a '77 FXE. Bought it new. Crap I'm getting old.
My kids have fur and tails. Wish I had more time to hit the range, but have a lot of fun when I do go. Ride safe and welcome!

Sadly, Scott, that's a rare quality. Most people get to some point and they think they don't have any more to learn. I'll quit learning when I quit breathing.
Welcome!

Howdy Folks! (I'm an Aggie)

Steve here, I wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I am an Expert Bullseye Pistol shooter currently chasing Distinguished Pistol, Rimfire, and Revolver badges. I love target pistols and shooting at paper (slow, I know). I reload primarily for this purpose and just recently started Brazosprecision.com to supply low cost and high quality cast bullets. I also own and operate a custom wood door business as my main vocation. I look forward to learning and contributing here as much as my free time allows.

Welcome! There's so many aspects of our shooting avocation that there's so much to learn and do. Luckily shooting and collecting firearms isn't addictive at all.
("Hello, I'm Ed and I'm a shooting enthusiast. I haven't bought anything shooting related since..... What time is it?")
I used to reload because I used to work fewer hours and had more time to go to the range and burn through ammo.

Hey everyone! I'm Milo, hailing from Los Angeles. I used to shoot a lot as a kid through 4-H, but I've been out of practice for a while, and I'm looking to get back into firearms again. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Well I finally decided after years of creeping around that I'd finally set myself up an account. Just wanted to say I've garnered knowledge from this site for a very long time and hope to keep doing so. Hopefully along the way I can help somebody out myself.

New member in Iowa, lifelong gun nut. I'm 64 and retired, so more time to play. Spent a lot of time cowboy shooting (the sport, not literally shooting cowboys lol), and a major fan of revolvers in general. I did break down and buy a couple of 9's (Beretta 92FS and CX4), and I will admit they pack a lot of firepower in a very small package. But I'd still reach for the Model 94 and Vaquero first!

That's the difference between you and me. You're retired and I'm just tired....

I, too. am a fan of revolvers, first handgun purchase being a Colt wheelgun back in the early '70's, but, like you, I have a few autos as well. Mostly, double deuce plinkers, a Walther and a Smith. Welcome to THR and have fun!

Hello, I am a new reloader. i have a Dillon 550C. learning a lot about various powders. The only gripe I have is that the reloading press quickly gets out of alignment... Seems that everyday there is new issue. Recently it's been primer misfeeds..

Hello from Central Illinois!
As I was searching the interwebs for various bits of reloading information, I found that this site popped up near the top with answers or discussions about my very question, so I decided that this was the place for me..

I'm new to reloading and fairly new to firearms ownership actually. I shot several of my grandfather's guns as a kid, but it was never a frequent hobby. My grandfather left me a few of his favorites before he passed, and I made getting them back in working order a priority. Then after deer hunting with my father in law and brother in law (a 3 day trip that I joked about probably not coming back from) and bagging my my first deer with a borrowed shotgun. I decided I needed my own. That was when I was bitten by the bug. I have since bought a sccy cpx2 for a house gun ,and an Extar EP9 and Glock 40 for fun.
Since I am raising a family, I have less funds that I would like to expand my collection. But I am keeping a rainy day fund, for my next purchase.

I havent shot every gun caliber but after shooting a couple nice 1911 .45's and 10mm's and then a Glock 20. I decided I needed a 10mm Glock. (I shot it the best anyway)

But ammo for the 10mm is pretty steep, even for target shooting, so I started researching reloading. I found the deal of a lifetime on a guys old equipment. An RCBS turret press, all kinds of accessories, more dies than I have to firearms for, and plenty of brass and bullets for calibers I have and some I don't! I recently set it up and made 15 light 9mm rounds with power pistol and they worked! Fingers and guns intact! And now I'm smitten with making my own loads.
I look forward to reading others experiences and sharing mine. My main focus is of course safety, as I am still quite intimidated by max and close to max loads. These loads are not my priority, as I want solid target loads so I can hone my technique and better my skills, but eventually I'll push these loads a little further.

I still have questions and I may even ask some stupid ones. Bear with me and help the new guy out, so that one day I can answers the new new guy's questions. Thanks for letting me join the club and I look forward to interacting with the rest of the forum.

Sorry for the lengthy post, I apparently have diarrhea of the fingers this morning!

PS For anyone who might have read my first post in "what did you do in your reloading room today?", My avatar pic is the organizer I designed and built for my reloading bench. It's kinda crude and needs some stain, but I came out just as I designed it.
