I could lo longer resist I felt I had to let my thoughts and feeling be known. The other night during the Local evening news there he was, our newly elected Democratic State Governor Tony Evers giving a press conference with a bunch of other Democrats stating tat they are going to push also for a Special Session to try and pass some sort of gun control laws including RED FLAG laws.

So I sent Six letters out last night, one each to my state Senator one to my state Rep and one each to the Senate President, Senate Majority Leader and one each to the Assembly Leader and Assembly Majority Leader.

I had already sent a letter to our US Rep, newly elected Bryan Stiel, and asked him politely if he would forward it to our two US Senators.

Not certain if any will listen or even if they will take any comments to heart but again I at least had to speak up.

It can’t hurt. I’m still hopeful that since the Republicans still have control of everything but the gov seat, that they will use some common sense in just letting Evers spout liberal talking points. This issue is based on emotion, with time and clear explanations of the effects of red flag laws and addition restrictions, most people don’t want to lose their rights. Yes there are strident Dem’s that will follow lock step, but they would on any issue, for them it’s about power.

I have so far received responses to my email letters for my US Rep. Bryan Steil and from the Wisconsin State Senate President Roger Roth. Both of these responses were personal letters addressing specific issues I raised in my letters, these were Not Thank You Form letters. So they are Listening and they are Responsive!

I would hope everyone takes just the few minutes it takes to write and express yourselves. If nothing else it shows we are out here and we are paying attention!

A real letter with a signature on it from a constituent is very valuable in supporting the 2A as an individual right. A hundred such letters even more. If any of us gets the opportunity share that letter with friends and family so they can drop it in the mail and send it in to amplify your words.

I believe this is so true. For me a hand written letter, even a short one is much more effective and bears much more weight than a Form letter response from some political web site. I felt much more listened to by these return letters an if they were just form letter, Thank you for contacting my office, responses. And I am certain that our Representatives feel the same way.

Now I am also not naïve enough to believe that all these responses came directly from them, I an sure some came from staff members, which I'm ok with because I an also sure they have meeting and discuss the letters they have received.

I also know we have a US Senator that though he is a 2nd A supporter it is not high on his priority list. But fighting Nadler is.

All I can ask is that everyone keeps writing and maybe we can make a difference. BTW not that it matters but I also am NOT an NRA member. Just an independent Voter.
