I went to a yardsale one year, and this guy had American Rifleman magazines dating back from late 40's to 1980's, and they were free so....I took them all.Wow; You must have a nice magazine collection. Love those old ads. I've only seen one Johnson rifle in person and that was owned by a guy shooting next to me in a 100 yd. NRA Hi-Power match circa mid to late 1990's. It was in the standard 30-06 chambering and IIRC it got its owner a fairly good score. I've heard they were sold in other chamberings but I would wager they are even more rare than one in .30-06.

Yah, sorry about that. Man, I wish they were free, but one can dream.ha ha ha ha ha.. So I read this after reading about 22250rem talking about the shooting buy the guy with the Johnson.. and then you said a guy at a yard sale said they were free.. I thought you were talking about the Johnson... ha ha ha.. had to look twice...
There, corrected it, so no more double takes.ha ha ha ha ha.. Look at those prices! I could have owned a cannon! Ahh the good old days. Too bad I was 19 years away from conception in 1963.1963 was a great year too for surplus....very envious.

I had some time today, so I went through what I have. I think that pistol was a one off, ever saw anything similar to it. I believe though this magazine is the one you are looking for if it has any info about that gun. I don't have it, but seems there are issues for sale on Ebay. I have scoured the internet with this image, and it points to this one issue that came out in 1958. Best of luck to you on your search. (now, I have to go and organize all those magazines, 100+ of all kinds and dates. wish me luck)Please Sir no rush..please do not go out of your way.. Just the next time you are near them if you can give a looksee.. thanks, that is very generous of you..

Why are you settling for desert when you can have steak. That Finnish anti-tank rifle comes with free extra magazines! I would have bought 2 just because.
