Just something to share.

Reloading manuals have become a sort of OCD for me. I've now picked up quite a few from places like thriftbooks or abebooks used for under $5 shipped.

Figured I'd share in case anyone in need hasn't considered used reference books.

I have several older manuals. I find them in various places, even some on eBay.

Some I have just as curiosities, some I still use for data.

I have a supply of powders that are several years (decades) old, and for those powders I use books/data that is the same age.

used reference books
What are those:D

Yes I like books, real books, paper books, things that work by a campfire!
Thanks for the info will have to check it out.
I believed there was no such thing as to many books until I ran out of space to keep them all, and discovered the problem is my house is to small;)

I bought a lot of reloading books and reloading dies from ebay. I mainly use the Hornady and lee books. I generally use the bullet manufacturers book and other books as a cross reference.

Hornady is genera)y conservitive in there amounts of powder. Lee book will often have their starting load higher then hornadys max load.

I own a lot of reloading manuals, A Lot! Some are so old the powders listed within are no longer available.

I hunt online, at gun shows and even thrift shops and the Salvation Army too lol.

I have a problem. :neener:

GONRA suggests ALWAYS getting POWDER MFG's. manuals to compare to BULLET MFG's manuals!!!

The problem here is that many times the powder mfg manual doesn't specify the bullet used. In that case stick with the manual of the company that made the bullet.

I have a couple older manuals, a Speers from the '60s and a Hornady from the '70s. I find them to be interesting reads and the older thoughts of up and coming cartridges.
