Ammo Stockpiles

I have seen a good many men give up their hobby on account of a nagging woman. My father in law is one, he gave up all his firearms when he got married because she didnt want guns "in the home" and was convinced that he would be shot within the first 5 minutes of entering the woods because other hunters are so careless... I myself could never be led down that path.

Same here. I told her from the start. Do not expect me for anything during deer season. Might see me show for a quick bite to eat on turkey day, but thats it. Unless i tag out.

My Ex-wife liked guns and had no problem with me buying guns or ammo. The problem was that there was never any money left for me to buy anything after she was done shopping.:)
I'm still hopping to find that woman that likes guns and shooting as much as I do, but till then, I will keep buying lots of ammo and guns.

Hang in there GY!

It took me three times to find one, but I did!

There's hope brother!

I'm happily un-married. :) I have no one to interfere with my spending habits. I once dated a woman that complained that I had too many guns. Like I said, I once dated.:D

I'm not even in the same league as you Gunny, but I have bought five firearms this year.

Due to my health and mobility problems I need to keep my wife around. I'm going to try and wrangle a deal next year when she starts receiving caregiver payments from the VA. I'm going to try and convince her I deserve some of that money.

Having enough .22LR ammunition for range days, in order to maintain marksmanship skills when there are prolonged shortages, is my goal.

Now don't get me wrong. I have been married twice and have no intention of ever making that mistake again. But it would be nice to find a woman that has her own stock pile of guns and ammo.
It would be great to find one that has more then I do, if that is possible.

I know two very well – my wife of 48 years, and our oldest daughter of 44 years. However, as they both already have husbands (actually one husband and one fiancé) that handload for them, they have it made when it comes to having ammo to shoot.:D
They have enough guns to shoot it in too. Most of our daughter's guns are guns that her mom (my wife) replaced with other guns for one reason or another, but she does have a couple (that I know of) that she either bought for herself or her fiancé bought for her - I don't know which, and it doesn't matter to me anyway.:)
My wife has a small press too, as well as a portable handloading bench. So sometimes she sizes or flares cases while I’m doing something else at the main bench. It goes faster that way – not that saving time is a priority for either of us. It’s just nice to have company in the basement when we're cranking out hundreds of rounds of ammunition (like 9mm) that are identical to the hundreds of rounds of ammunition that we cranked out a few months ago. Besides we’re both retired, and sitting in front of the handloading bench is always better than sitting in front of the TV.;)
