What deal did you get on Black Friday?

Bought a pocket holster for my PT22. Not really on sale but I bought it on Black Friday. I spent some time unsubscribing sites. Way too repetitive with their offerings and nothing that I need. 2019 was my Year of the Gun. 2020 will be my Year of Paring Down Belongings. I've come to realize that more stuff does not mean more happiness.

Picked up a Nightforce NX1-8 X 24 at Brownells, regularly $1750, clearance priced at $1250....then got another 11% off ($137.50) for their Black Friday event discount. Savings of $637.50.

Took advantage of the Federal Black Box deal. Academy had it for $44.99 per 250. Federal has a $12.50 rebate. Max of 8 boxes, which I bought. So it works out to $0.13 per round.

Also helped Dick's loose money, by buying two 12" Lodge frying pans for $14.99 ea. Normally at LGS and the company store these are $35.

A bucket of treated walnuts for shell cleaning.
10 - 50rd boxed of cci stinger ammo for the kids
A box of 200 Hornady 123 gn. FMJ 310 bullets for 7.62 x 39
A bucket of treated corncob for shell cleaning.
aLSO NEXT DAY: 1000 rds Blazer .22 ca. round nose &
a bottle of Ballistol ( never used it before)

Gander outdoors closing in Pensacola- got 3 boxes of Winchester longbeard 3" #5 for $7 each, and a Carlson's longbeard turkey choke for $12, and a couple other small odds and ends. Wish I bought a butt-out tool, because I just broke mine tonight- in the butt of a deer my friend shot.

10k primers from powder valley.

3 mecgar stainless 8 round 1911 mags, 2 30 round scorpion mags, and two vp9 15rnd factory mags from preppergun

Nightstrike viper angled front grip for wife's scorpion from msc.

5 pack of hybrid stainless 1911 checkmate mags direct.

4 pack of new 30 caliber ammo cans, $22 for all four!

Late to the party but I picked up a Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor at the Cabela's 6 hour door buster sale for $199.00 ($274 with $75.00 rebate) Nice rifle but still on the fence about the Weaver scope that came with it. Also bought 1,800 Hornady .223 from TargetsportsUSA for $504.00 with tax and insurance.
Not a bad BF. Took just about 3 hours at Cabela's and met a couple of really nice guys while waiting.

What good deals did you get on Black Friday on gun related stuff?

If you asked my wife which deals i bought.......all of em

1000 ranger t in .40 for 200 bucks
Sig 229 and 226 mags for 13 dollars
A desantis invader holster for 27 dollars.
A cpo 229 for 400
200 gold dots in .45 for 60 dollars

So then I just quit checking my email

I did that 3 years ago. It would have to be one hell of a deal for me to buy another gun there. I certainly would but it would have to be cheap. I actually went there with 200 dollars in cabelas points this year and walked away with a 15 dollar pair of heat holder socks

Well I'm taking a chance on them. My wife noticed a sale on a Sig P365 for $400 and then reminded me that she could buy discounted gift cards and give them to me, so I am picking up a P365 for $341 after taxes on Saturday. I didn't intend a new gun purchase, my on purpose buying was a bunch of barrels and assorted parts from Primary Arms.

Bought a couple of Lancer magazines, and a few AR and AK PMAGs. The gun deals weren't really that great this year, IMHO.

Beretta 1951 , the predecessor to the 92/M9 , Black Friday price from DK $299 - free shipping.
Cannot provide image , the old sa Beretta is in the Ed's Red bath.

I got 4 Damascus steel knives and an 80% lower for under $200 I also got a striker fired 9mm in desert tan for $250 new in box with all the trimmings.

Interested to see what I can make them do with some long shot or AA#7

May ought to check into Blue Dot. When I had my G20 I’d load 180’s over a case full of Blue Dot. Because of the burn rate, it was impossible to get too much in the case. Excellent velocity

I am not a Cabela's fan. Granted, my Cabela experience(s) are confined to a couple of stores only. Both a considerable waste of time. Both glaringly misinformed counter people. I prefer the smaller, more intimate store.

I didnt even need to talk to them. I went after a 12fv in 223 that was cheap. I got the gun in 2 minutes. It was 7ish and they closed at 9 or 10. Then I filled out the 4473 on a tablet. Then i was handed a 4473 on paper. Then they carried the rifle to the side counter and I had to wait. By then it was 830 (and I can fill out a 4473 in about 60 seconds) They were telling people behind me that I would be the last background check that they could run and the rest would have to get their guns the next day. again i filled out a 4473 on a PC which only the manager could check. By this time i was getting annoyed. It was very crowded. I asked what the deal was with all the 4473s and the manager told me it was because they had stores in many different states. I called BS and told him I'd bought guns in walmart in 10 minutes. He said the checks often took 30 minutes and mine may not be approved that day. I could see his computer and most said pending so he wasn't exaggerating on that. Mine was pretty much instant though.

Full disclosure...I'm from NC and cabelas was in VA. But the locals weren't faring any better.

In my very humble opinion, someone at Cabela's has decided that they want to twin Abercrombie and Fitch. The gunnery portion is a well-hidden afterthought.
