.50 Beowulf is more biggerer and the most bestest!
458 SOCOM just sounds so much better then 450 Bushmaster. And it’s bigger. But the main reason for going with the 458 is that it was used by the military and served well. A friend of mine used it in Afghanistan. They had special rounds just for stopping vehicles.I wondered when somebody was going to chime in with that one
I'd be curious in hearing what swayed the OPs caliber decision.
Guess that depends on if you have a 450 Bushmaster LOL! Just kidding Gunny! Anyway, I’m taking my 450 to the range tomorrow to shoot for groups. I want to see how those XXTreme barrels shoot. Just have a handful of rounds through it, and it may need more break in.458 SOCOM just sounds so much better then 450 Bushmaster. And it’s bigger. I bought some 325gr ammo from Black Butterfly and it functioned perfectly. I've loaded 405, 325 and 300 gr bullets so far. I really like the Hornady FTX 325 gr bullets, and have had no feeding problems. And they shoot great.Gunny and RusselC you folks have had your delta team Tactical .458s for quite a while now, how do they function and how well do they shoot.
Have you had any problems with the bolts of extractors.
Do they feed ok with std mags or did you have to make modifications.
I have one of their assembled uppers in bound with 16 inch barrel 1-14 twist I got assembled for $174. Should be here before monday possibly as early as friday.

You are missing the joy. The first word that has come out of the mouth of everyone that I have let fire mine has been “Wow”.I still haven't fired mine!
Russellc
But it’s money well spent. The joy is only tempered by the realization that every shot is sending $2 down range. (Closer to $1 if you reload)
SILENCER. Okay, Suppressor for those who are picky.
I’m looking at the same deal. Hard to say no when other comparable products are double the cost.I bought it because it was only $80 and I read some positive reviews. If it isn't accurate I will upgrade. I'm thinking it will be fine, it's not a long range target rifle.
