Since WA state is going quickly down the path of California and Virginia in terms of even more restrictive gun control laws fueled by the super-majority of leftists west of the Cascades, it seems there is no relief in sight for those who support the RKBA.

And because a massive outcry by gun owners by organizing a huge rally in VA seemed to do nothing but steel the resolve of the gun-grabbers, would it be more effective to simply push for breaking up the state?

IIRC, there was already an attempt to split up WA within the past few years. As well as California.

It seems all Western states face the same dilemma; blue voters in urban areas force their values and ideals on the red rural conservative areas.

It also seems that we are facing a nuclear option as the leftists get more bold and brash in their attempts to erase liberty and freedom. Perhaps splitting up the states would be better than trying to save the Titanic with a single bucket.

The basic premise is baloney. If you define liberty and freedom as simply gun rights, you have a naive and one side view of liberty and freedom. The urban / rural split is driven by economics and education. The issues of ethnicity and race cannot be separated from the split also.

I recall overnighting in a very small TX town - a blip on the map. Talking to the guy running the local motel, he said - the second anyone had a chance, they got out of there.

Why not try to come up with a gun rights message that will attract all sorts of folks as compared to wanting to live in political and social, one sided isolation in the rural areas? That's because for some folks (to be blunt, if you don't like it, too bad), they do not want an inclusive society.

No one with any sense thought that the rally in Richmond would change the minds of those in the government. It was a show of force, a threat to use the 2A for it's intended purpose.

IMO, we'll see the entire country break into pieces in the next 20 years, one way or another.

Kiss your Medicare and Social Security good bye. Watch the destruction of the economy. But you can sit in your cabin with your AR-15. No more antibiotics, kidney transplants, new knees, etc. Ever see a country riven by Civil War have a good time of it in recent history?

States subdividing isn't really possible any longer so there's no plan to develop here.
