Since I am so very much enjoying the tread that Hokkmike started in General Gun Discussions, and, since I was just moving some stuff around - I got to thinking about my; prettiest knives.

Too, the fun-factor of Non-Firearms has fizzled a bit of late. Sling-shots, what's on you right now and most recent buys topics not withstanding..... THOSE are certainly fun - as are some others.

So anyhow; I think my *prettiest to look at* as far as daggers is concerned must be my Second Pattern Fairbairn Sykes.

It's one of the heavier blade variants giving it a great feel too. My 1998 Case V-42 is a close second as the best reproduction of the original V-42 ever made but as a reproduction, it's just a tiny bit off in a personal bias way for me compared to this beauty.

What are your "Prettiest To Look At" knives?

Todd.

Sorry to repost a pic I just recently posted, but I just acquired what I’d consider to be the prettiest knife I’ve ever owned last week. It’s a ZT0609.

The lines look very elegant to my eye, and yet it seems very solidly built despite its somewhat dainty appearance.

Repost? So what?

THAT, has some beautiful and yet functional curves to it.

Is it set up for a clip at the end? Looks great without it if that's the case.

Todd.

I sometimes have one of these in my pocket. I really like the lines.

I just sold a stunning Laguiole last fall. It was so very pretty but I had trouble carrying it in Wranglers or Dickies.

I loved it so much that I almost made a horizontal sheath for it and in fact would have, were I not offered silly money for it.

They are a HELL of a well kept *secret* in the folding knife market. I still recall it fondly every time I'm in afire restaurant were they favor fixed blade versions for *steak knives*.

I bought my first one some 15 years ago.

Like any kid with money in his pocket, I was looking at all the 'tactical' folders at the counter and I ran across that old Laguiole.
"What is that?!"

It didn't take much convincing.
I Bought it.

Still have it. I'll admit that it doesn't see the use my Benchmade does, but still... I like to look at it.

Well, I don’t want to be too repetitive is all. I tend to share a lot of gun pictures over and over. But considering the crowd........

Anyway, this knife, and all ZT knives from what I can tell, come built to carry. Even their super limited collector’s pieces do. The clip works fine, but I would like a deeper pocket carry clip, and MXG Works makes a bunch for different ZTs. I’m waiting for another one to show up before placing an order next month. Went a little crazy in January.

I have carried this knife several days now and it’s fantastic IMO, though I have a very limited point of reference.

The clip on that side looks fine, it's already a bit busier over there. Nice to not spoil those beautiful lines on the other side.

So many, I can't decide! :D
My wife cracks up at me. Once or twice a year I'll have a couple-dozen or more knives out - you know, just to look at.

She'll look in on me and make a comment about boys and their toys or ask if I'm playing *dress-up*?

In fact - I might be playing. Something like; "If I could keep only 10" or something like that.

I too, do this with knives and also my handguns, as it gives great pleasure...I don't mind her seeing my knives all at once, but I'm a little more leery about her seeing many of my pistols all at once!
