What is the ugliest gun you own?

My Keltec PMR30 or Glock 27 would be the ugliest I suppose. They are tools that serve a purpose so being ugly is an after thought.

I did get a ugly crickett on Gunbroker for $22 so there’s that... but of the ones I have actually laid eyes on so far, it has to be my ugly duckling S&W model 10-6 with approximately 2% of the bluing left and in various shades of “hammer face gray” but very little if any rust. I will find the pics where I bought it... here’s one of them...and the crickett.

I really like the looks of the Smith Revolver. Looks like a S&W 10. I can appreciate honest wear from actual use.

Is that JB Weld all over that cricket?!

Don't have a picture right now as it's disassembled to modify some stuff.

Mosin Nagant, M44. I call it "The Hack Saw." Found it at a garage sale with the bayonet sawn off (not the mount), bolt handle sawn off, and included the pug fugly ATI bolt handle and scope mount. Finish had apparently been chemically stripped. Bore was good, so after some haggling I got it for $40. I installed the scope kit, smoothed off the cut on the bayonet, leaving the lug in case I ever wanted to reinstall one or adapt another device to the lug. Sanded the stock 220 to rough it up some and slapped on some BLO. Installed a Finn magazine spring and follower to fix a feed issue.

My intention was a cheap scoped rifle to fire scads of cheap military surplus ammo in random gravel pits. Check on that box, and much to my pleasant surprise it was MOA accurate with a handload featuring the 174 Hornady RN. I slogged it through many cedar swamps and other such Northern MN terrain and shot a few deer with it in addition to thousands of rounds of milsurp cracking rocks. I still reach for it when the weather forecast says "stay in bed" or the hunt calls for a snowmobile or long boat ride.

About 1972, my grandad bought this inoperable Richard's sxs for me as a conversation peice. It's stock had been painted barn red. It was awful. I decided to sand it off and discovered a beautiful turquoise blue base coat....?

Not necessarily ugly, but I also have an h&r 16ga single barrel with a hand carved replacement stock. Pretty darn good fit, too.

My finish challenged super Blackhawk. Has pitting all over the cylinder on one side and ugly finish elsewhere, so I didn't feel bad at chopping it off at 5". It makes it a lot more lively with full house 44 mag loads. But the gun is rough. Sure shoots good though...

Those are my favorite. Functional guns. I don't care about aesthetics.

My AR is a little tongue in cheek. Shot it for the first time today. Wow. So accurate.

Never shot an ar before!

I got this for free. They were going to throw it away.

After a can of carb cleaner, some good oil and tape to completely, and fashionably, repair the broken stock,;) I find this bolt action Stevens 124c operates and fires just fine.
But it’s supposed to be blued...
Since this is only worth a half a can of carb cleaner, I’ll have to learn to do it myself.:D

Poor thing. It’s not ugly really, perhaps my most neglected firearm for sure!
