None of the Baikal airguns are legal to be imported at this time. They are still being sold outside of the US. Even if you could get someone to sell you one and ship it to you it would put you in violation of the import restriction and you could get in trouble.
Your best bet is the used market but sometimes they go at a premium price because of the restriction.
The stopped being imported during the Clinton era. What a shame. One of the finest target Air Guns made. Many articles on them that state they are worthy of air pistols costing thousands of dollars and I agreee.
Some guys love the gun so much they would have custom stocks made
And here is a travesty. The Little gun in the picture below had a CULT following. I mean this gun a Model IZH 60 aka The Little Black Russian, is insanely accurate. I am serious. Has a six way adjustable trigger. And here is the kicker. It cost around $125.00. These guns could be seen in Competition with guns costing so much more. What a crying same.
Not sure when the restriction started but I am scratching my head about the Clinton era (1993-2001). Maybe so but I bought my Izzy 46M after that from Pilkington. I paid $289 when I got mine. It is one sweet shooting 10 meter pistol. The trigger on mine is outstanding.
PA is just a vendor the T5 is a Chinese Knockoff. Not worthy of comparison. The real Deal is the IZH model 60 single shot with steel breech. That rifle is freaking crazy accurate. I was lucky to find one many years ago off Gun Broker.
This new knock off may be a fun little shooter, but just understand that is what it is. Not close to the same class.
Do the IZH and Venturi TR5 have anti-beartrap and auto safety? I won't buy a side lever without anti-beartrap! safer if auto safety! I looked into IZH long time ago, can't remember now! I ended up with a Chinese QB88 which was only $60 at the time, great shooter, and my thumb still there.
EDIT: I guess they don't need one, they load pellet differently! That TR5 looks a little weird.
