Go big or go home.
Technically not a 1911 because it's a roller delayed blowback but if women don't swoon at the mere mention...

Korth PRS.
God I want one so bad. How did you grab that? I inquired with nighthawk and they only import the revolvers and I never heard anything back from korth.

Definitely agree on DW being the best production 1911 around. I had an entry leve 1911 and decided to step it up. Tried on Colt, SA's nicer stuff, Kimber, yada yada yada. Then I laid hands on a Dan Wesson and it honestly blew the other guns away in fit and finish and the wonderful (for production) trigger.
Nope not interested, something unamerican about it and if it runs like the Volkswagon I had it will cost an arm and a leg to keep it running.Technically not a 1911 because it's a roller delayed blowback but if women don't swoon at the mere mention...
Have all the 1911's I've ever wanted but never a super high end one.
Thinking an Ed Brown .45ACP 5" adjustable sight target model might be the ticket but then there's Wilson combat, nighthawk, Les Baer not to mention 10mm, 38super, the list goes on.
What's your choice,
My best Semi-Customs are my GI No Name 9mm and my NightHawk Colt Hawk in 45 ACP.

I agree whole heartedly, my nightstand gun is a bobtail Valor in .45ACP and my CCW is a Guardian in 38 Super, when weather permits. Now, if you're talking a higher-end production 1911, it's hard to go wrong with a DW.
All I can say is that that GI No Name is one of the best-looking 1911s I have seen, even though it's in the wrong caliber.
Barrel length. What exactly is the diff. between the Defender an the Officer model?
I worked alongside Rob at Les's shop before he left. He is one of the finest craftsman I have ever known.Please...please....please look at Alchemy. I have Wilsons. I have Dan Wesson. I have Colt Customs. I’ve had Les Baers. All excellent guns with zero complaints. Alchemy eclipses them all at a great price point.
You can’t go wrong with your choice, but consider putting ACW in the mix.
