I have 2 AR-15s. Both are 5.56. I am already planning my next one but that is going to be an AR-10 in 308.
2 in 30 herrett (rimless)
1 in 6x45
1 in 25-45 sharps

Since I only have one it's 100%., but that's not to say a 7mm valkery might not find its way to my gunsafe.
That would be cool!
I'll have to remember that if I want an unusual upper.
What do you think about the two of them?
Are you splitting hairs or is there a significant difference?
am interested in this caliber, as well as the lesser known 7ARK(7.62x39 necked down to 7mm)
I'd get a 7.62x39 if I knew enough about the 7ARK since they share brass.
Shouldered cartridges, human shoulders, or... Both?!?Only 1, 450 Bush.
Because shoulders are overrated
I've been looking at dozens on news articles on this and listening to the audio of the shooting and from the vague way the media is saying it was an "AR-15 like rifle" and since the police have only said its a S&W M&P 15 but nothing else my bet is on it being in 9mm. We know the rifle found in his car was a Sub 2000, most of which are 9mm. And he had 9mm handguns. The police say they picked up 83 shell casings. 7 dead, over 3 dozen wounded. If he had hit over 40 people with a 5.56 I would think the mortality rate would be higher. But only 7 dead (RIP) seems a lot more in line with the limitations of 9mm FMJ (I am assuming it would be FMJ and not hollow point because of feeding issues and cost.)I`m personally expecting to hear that the Illinois parade shooter used either 5.56 or .223. I do wonder if those will be hard to come by in 6 months time, or monumentally expensive what may be available.

There is so much else wrong with the boondoggle surrounding that, no one in an official capacity will ever get around to even looking into that and speaking on it publicly.Yet the Uvalde shooter used a pair of $2000 rifles... That just has not added up in my brain. And how does a young kid have that kind of money!
