I saw this on TFB and ran over here, I'm almost certainly in. I have a bunch of .308 components left over and have been thinking about picking up another .308, but couldn't bring myself to get another full sized porker AR-10. I liked my Rogue and kind of regretted selling it, a Rogue by Ruger is more my speed even if it is about about a pound more.
I would prefer an intermediate length gas system on the 16", but I can probably make it work well with my cans using the included AGB.
"Bolt and barrel extensions are CNC-machined from high-strength super alloy steel that outperforms traditional C158 bolts. Tapered lug geometry further strengthens the breech to support larger short-action cartridges."
I heard that POF used AerMet 100 for the bolt and barrel extensions for the Rogue to be able to use roughly AR-15 sized components, it seems like Ruger is using some similar high strength/fatigue alloy as well. All together super cool, these are already shipping, I'm excited to get my mitts on one.
