Pawn shop 30 minutes from the house has all the primers I could want for the mere price of 15 or hundred:)
Good thing I wasn't taking a drink of coffee when my brother told me the price. He didn't pick any up for me.
All my brother's have a standing order for 1000 LPP if they're under 90/1000.
I'm flush with everything but large pistol.

I'm down to 100 lpp. Haven't shot 45acp because of that but I do have some spp brass that I would shoot should I get the itch.... cci has come and gone at my local bps.

I'm 2 hours from bps and 1.75 from academy. We're relegated to pawn shops for the most part. There is one reloading shop an hour away.

I stop at any place I can find that has components anywhere I go. I took my mom 3 hours out of the way to visit tenessee gun country on the way back from Atlanta to Memphis. She bought me 2 lbs of universal while there for my birthday last year. Haven't opened either yet.

Maybe it’s time to take Mom on another roadtrip…!:)
She would, I never take advantage. The last trip was an adventure because of all the times I'd seen Stewart County ballistics shop there during the lockdown. It was like a thing to see for myself. Now I need to see the local store from tools and targets that always has 2400....

I'll be taking my mom on a day trip around Bell and Bland Missouri around Christmas to see my ancestors grave sites from the 1800s.
I'll definitely stop at any store on the way.

Try the universal with cast 30-30 or medium 357. You'll be sold on it.

I have family in brushy knob, my grandpa owed a farm of 200 acres that I'm trying to aquire full interest in and set up a homested.
I'm a little over an hour East of there. It's beautiful country.
I here you on using universal in 45. It's a solid powder in a lot of cartridges. There's always a niche one that fired better. But you end up with a bunch of open powder cans if you use niches.

I'm using up cfep and true blue. No love for either. At 6ish grains that's a lot of primers...

CFE is great in full power 40S&W. I hated it in 38&357.
I have so much factory 40 that I don't reload for it anymore.

Sorry for taking your thread off into the tall grass. Seems a few of us like to gunshop gab.

Don know if it is a fluke, or maybe a light at the end of the tunnel, but was thrilled to find Winchester small rifle primers at Sportsmen’s Warehouse yesterday.

I never thought I would see primers for less than $5 per 100 again! Limit was 2 per person, and I got the last two (for a buddy that prefers Winchester). I was stoked, and hoping this is the beginning of a trend! upload_2022-12-15_12-53-52.gif

I hope so. I know a lot of the issue is scalping sure to people panicking. I never thought it would have lasted this long. Or I would have stocked up on more LPP.
I will be breaking into my last 1000 on my next batch of reloads.
