There is only one hole in the drum and it does not pass thru and will only line up with one hole in the body at a time. So I have no imagination of how you did this.
You could always try to replicate your spill, an experiment if you will. Just don't put in as much powder and have a pan underneath to catch the powder in case you can duplicate it. This might give you the answer as to how it happened.I'm thinking I installed the drum insert 180 off.
And thats only what you know about!I know ... because my wife of 29 years has been pointing them out for me.
Put oatmeal or Cream Of Wheat in the hopper for your trial. That way if it runs all over the place at least the mice can get what you missed. You could always try to replicate your spill, an experiment if you will. If you look at the drum on the opposite side of the metering chamber it is hollowed out. If the drum is installed the wrong way the hollow will register with the hopper and it will surely empty. I think the splines on the drum are different sizes to prevent putting in backwards that may be why your drum got a "little stuck" when installed backwards.Taking a look this morning everything seems fine.
Screw / drum insert threads good, wipe looks good, drum insert doesn't pull away when actuated.
What about this: Is it possible I removed the drum insert before I started and reinserted it 180 deg off? I just noticed it was possible to do that. Although it's harder to tighten and the drum insert gets a little stuck, and it was when I removed it after what happened last night.
I haven't put powder in it again. Maybe later.
Goes without saying, or so I assumed. But I've been wrong before. At least once.DRY oatmeal
