Here's the 22lr !

Jeez I bought the same case from Midway 2 weeks ago for $223 shipped. I have 5000 SK/Lapua I don't want to break out until match time. At those prices I's dang near sell the ammo with guns that shoot them.

That's what auction sites and competitive bidding are all about. Getting fools to pay 2 or 3 times what they would pay if they'd bother to first do a little searching.

I saw a single 50 round box of common current production of Winchester 130 grain FMJ ,38 special sell for $54 at auction a couple of weeks ago on Auctioneer Live---and whoever bought it still had to pay shipping on top of that.

You can find this same ammo at any Wal-Mart, Academy Sports, Bass Pro, etc for $23 plus tax every day. In fact it may be one of the most plentiful "off the shelf" center fire rounds left on the planet.

I've always heard that: "a fool and his money are soon parted" , but one has to wonder sometimes how they got together in the first place.:scrutiny:

Cheers

No, QoT, you can still buy it for 15 cents/rd if you buy it all and pay actual shipping. Price is good for another 48 hours. I'm a man of my word... but this time I set a time limit.

So if I sell it for 20 cents/rd on GB I don't want to hear any complaining.;) I didn't and am not buying during the shortage to scalp/gouge. I bought mine years ago when the getting was good. Now that I'm sick of the shortage I'm going to dump it all and get completely out of .22 LR until prices return to sanity. If I can get 17 cents per round or more then I'll take it. Again, I'm not one of those scalpers... bought mine years ago. If anyone has an issue with what I can sell it for today... it's just sour grapes.

Are you addressing me, QoT? I have no .22 LR firearms at this time so I don't really need the ammo right now. I pawned both of my 10/22's in hard times after I lost my job due to permanent illness. I bought my ammo while I still had the Rugers. Do you want to buy my .22 LR ammo? I really need the money.

What does that have to do with anything anyway?

Selling Privately Owned .22 Ammo

Who is the owner of the .22 ammo? Who can sell it? Who decides how much you should sell for? The answer to all of the above is "You.":)

At that price I am going to shoot my cap & ball guns. Way cheaper and a lot more fun. Reload may be slower, but with all the guns with conversion & extra cylinders I should be able to get off over 100 rounds before reloading. Plus most of them make a hole twice the size of a .22.

Yes I was asking what type of 22 you had.

Buy now before prices rise further!!! :)

This cracks me up. I can load .45acp for about .12/rd, .45LC and .41 mag about the same. If I ever dust off the dies, I could do .38 spl, .357 Mag and 9mm/.380 for the same price.

Haven't done any 10mm for a while, but I can put those together for about the same price.

Now I need to start working on rifle rounds.

Think I'll sit out the .22LR "crisis". :)

I haven't bought much .22 in the last few years but I wouldn't pay that. I just picked up 4000 rounds of American Eagle ammo for $36 and I haggled the guy down from $50. I guess it just pays to know people. But I have had some great opportunities to get stuff for much less than it is worth the last few months.

Are you saying that you paid $36.00 for 4,000 rounds, or $36.00 per 400 round box??

I bought it and a bunch of stuff off a guy that got a DV conviction and was needing to get rid of stuff. You guys don't want to know the results of the rest of the haggling I have done the last few weeks.
