The finish appears authentic, unless rust blued. If the interior frame, slide and barrel have similar finish or spots that match. Rust blue would still have original interior. Also, I have one Colt 1903 the slide and action and barrel lug housing are near perfect very little to no wear and the exterior is near perfect But, there are three minor pitting spots with finish 100% intact (a refinish indicator). I asked Sam Lisker at Coltautos.com and he said there were some lower quality finished Colts and patina variations.
