.22 Ammo
A lot can change over the years, I know this is old thread but....
The "Olympic Grade" Eley tenex was the best I tried so far, got a 1 MOA 5-shot group at 100 yards with my MK II pistol years ago. I haven't tried the Wolf or the Lapua but maybe one day I might get around to it.
I know this is an old thread, but the best group I've gotten from my
Ruger MKII 5.5" target model is just under 1" at 100yards.
Not as good as some of these guys are getting though, check it out:

"Questions about slugs for home defense arise fairly frequently in my mail so, briefly, here is my take on the subject. Shotgun slugs are dangerously over penetrative for most home defense scenarios. (You have no right to endanger your neighbors.) I suggest that...
I watched an old guy shooting his Freedom Arms Silhouette model revolver in IHMSA competition take out 8 out of 10 targets in the shoot off rounds with iron sights, out a spotter! That was 8 out 10 little steel targets not much bigger than a tea saucer at 200 meters! (218 yds). Amazing. (.44 mag)
A good bludgeon, such as a baseball bat is tough to beat. However concerning shot guns, I like the way this guy put it:
“If you're worried that a missed shot might penetrate through a wall and harm others, load your first shot or two with number 6 birdshot, followed by standard lead #1...
You are not going to be 25 feet away in a home defense situation, most rooms are only 12' to 14' feet wide, standing a couple feet from each wall plus the length of the gun means that the muzzle to chest distance is more likely to be around 8’; smaller shot will put him down plenty hard...
Put away the rifles, the high power pistols and the 00 buckshot. All those guns could pass through several walls and kill an innocent bystander. Half asleep in the dark, in the heat of the moment you fire and miss and that slug pass through several walls and kills your neighbor, or more likely...

Ruger Lemon
My Brother bought a Ruger stainless DA in .44mag, the cylinder bores where to big or something, the gases would leak back between the case and the bores causing soot to blow back into the action causing the gun to lock up. after a thorough cleaning with an aerosol cleaner it would...
.458 Win Mag
I have a single shot pistol chambered for .458 Winchester Mag. I know what you mean when you say it hurts your hand when you shot it the first time, It was about 3 months before I could shoot mine again. It's a waste, it's the only pistol I've ever shot that makes me flinch. I...
.22 accuracy
If you're talking about accuracy:
About 10 years ago I Bench rested a my Ruger MkII with a 5-1/2" Bull Barrel on sandbags at the 100 yard range with a 7x scope, and test 16 different types and brands of .22LR ammo. I don't remember all the figures but I remember the best and...
