    Question Re: 1968 colt ar-15

I had a '68 sold it in Pa. at a gun show in no more than 15 minutes. It had the original Colt scope, 2 Colt 20 round mags. The original case, cleaning kit and instruction booklet for $1200 cash. If that helps.

    P225 or P226?

Recently bought a P225, used of course, and I LOVE IT! In one day it became my favorite Sig. For concealed carry, if you need more than 8 rounds to get out of a problem, you are in big trouble.

Will having more muzzle energy incapacitate faster?

If you have the stomach to view this link, it graphically illustrates a man shot 17 times with .223 and .40 cal. S&W gold dot and kept firing back. Perhaps this will enlighten us that it is shot placement and to a lesser degree penetration, that plays the roll in actual shooting situations. I...

    Sig Mosquito

Mine is close to flawless. Gotta use the min mags though. Junk ammo makes her very angry. Early models had problems. later ones were fixed from what i read.

    Beretta special edition?

Update: I called the woman, turns out it is a Beretta 686 Silver Essential. Never fired. I Know, I know, that's not even close to what I posted but that's what I got from the woman. I'm sorry about that "It was a silver something"...:banghead:

    Any Buddy Blast-Friendly Compensators?

Buy a Maculek and mount it vertically. As long as you're not shooting prone you should make your neighbors happy.

    .223 self-defense/combat

I don't know how big your house is but for self defense, if you shoot someone with a 55 grain bullet traveling a 3000 feet per second you are going to kill him! Twist rate; soft point; isn't going to matter. The wound cavity from that shot is huge. Search this forum for .223 wound pictures and...

    Python blue or nickel?

I have a 4" 1969 Python with factory nickel finish. I guess it was an old LEO wheeler as a lot of the finish is worn off on the holstering side of the barrel and cylinder. Sooo, I want to have it refinished. If I do it in blue, i have a local gunsmith who does beautiful work. If I want it...

RRA vs CMMG Help on my first AR

I have 2 RRA AR's a 16 and 20 inch. Both are perfect. Hard to beat the quality. Triggers are good. I would be REAL careful about over penetration if using it for home defense. A bullet travelling at 3,000 ft per second doesn't want to slow down just because it hit a zombie and then some sheet rock.

    One more thing Springfield-disappointment

I would just like to add a few more points on the the replies to my original thread. Reloader Fred is correct. I should have done more homework on Springfield's company before I bought the gun, if I was so concerned as to where it was manufactured. That was not the point. It was more about...
