I agree - don't reload for him. The liability issues you're worried are legitimate, not to mention concern for a friend. He can do it himself, it's not that hard.

My only complain about ARs is that you use up a LOT of ammo, QUICK ;)

It's been my experience here on the boards that the senior shooters almost always advise rookies FOR checking the headspace. On a side note, I thought the separate bolt head on the Mosin was supposed to somewhat mitigate the headspace issue, and allow interchanging bolts between rifles... or...

If you try the gunshow method for the K31, arrive as EARLY as possible, on the FIRST day. They are sold probably faster than any other milsurp gun. People come in and powerwalk to all the milsurp dealers looking specifically for K31s.

Anyone have a good or bad report on AIM's current Russian light ball? It's $150 for 880 rounds, after shipping has been added in; I'm inclined against it unless I hear some fantastic reviews...

Another vote for the Remington 700 VLS

I looked at buying one of these very seriously about a year and a half ago - I was very impressed by it in almost every way. I still might if I have some kind of sudden windfall ... ;)
