    Confused about 1911 triggers

    If the bump occurs after all the take up is taken up, it sounds like disconnector click, which was discussed recently on the 1911 forum. I believe the consensus recommendation was to polish the indent in the slide for the top of the disconnector.

    lesser known 1911 smiths?

    Dave Stagg. He shouldn't be "lesser known", but he is a very low profile sort. No computer, no fax, etc. My gun is wonderful. I'll get another from him as soon as I can affortd it. Two thumbs up.

    New S&W1911 to the range
