Dude, that sucks. At the ranges I've been a member at, you can park right near the firing line but you still have to hike out and set up your targets.

You want the grips from the Equinox model. Best bet is to stay on top of Sigforum's classified section. Hogue makes some very nice wood grips if you're not dead set on diamondwood.

Yeah, there's no perfect way to do it. You could shoot every caliber from a 5" barrel to get a good control group, and then you'd have people complaining that it wasn't realistic because nobody has a 5" 9mm or .40.

.45 to 9mm is not really a cheap undertaking. You have to replace pretty much everything, which won't be drop-in parts either. If they are, go buy a lottery ticket. If it was easy enough to do you'd see a lot more of 'em.

A much over-hyped statistic. Any of the Big 3 (9mm, .40, and .45) will suit your needs. If you're really concerned though, perhaps consider .357 SIG or 10mm. I personally carry a .45, but have realized that it doesn't really matter what you carry to the object on the receiving end. Whatever...
