    This may sound stupid but...

Practice. Not trying to be flip, but that is the only way.

    .17HMR revolver?

I've got a Single-Six in .17HMR with another cylinder for the Mach II. Both work very well and have had no issues whatsoever with them. I was expecting an accuracy improvement over the .22lr/mag but it's pretty much the same.

    327 Federal Magnum in GP100

    What's your point?

    .32 S&W Long Fans?

The only one I have that's chambered in .32Long is an old 3" Rossi, but I have a lot of .32H&R's and shoot the Longs quite a bit in them. I like the .32 Long a great deal as it has a light appetite for powder and lead so it's dirt cheap to shoot and it's so accurate that it makes me look really...

.32 h&r magnum as self defense round

When I carry a J-frame it's a S&W 432 and I doubt seriously if anybody hit with a hot .32H&R would be any better off than someone shot with a .38spl. The .32 is much more controllable though and you get an extra shot. Shoot it, get to know it and reload for practice ammo and you're set.

    38 -vs- 32

I don't wade into these caliber wars over the .327 Vs. .357 anymore as it's simply silly and the naysayers are completely closed minded. I happen to love the .357 and the .327 and own examples of each, reload for each and shoot both quite often. Both are worthwhile and quite enjoyable.

$400 for an early 70's unfired single six?

I'd shop around and see what the local shops are running them at. Prices fluctuate, but it's a common gun and if you're not in a big hurry a good one will come along. I always keep my eyes open for Single Sixes, Bearcats and MKII's and the deals are out there if you're patient.

    new to me single six

A "New Model" Single-Six is safe to carry with six rounds but an old model or "three screw" model is not unless it has had the transfer bar safety upgrade. Look at the side of the gun, are there two screws visible or three? If two then it's a "New Model", three and you'll have to...

    Shood I shoot this S&W? It's a moral question.

I recently went through the same dilemma. I bought an unfired handgun that I knew I could turn for a immediate profit of a couple hundred dollars, but I had always wanted one for myself. I shot it, loved it and now have found a keeper for me. If I hadn't shot it, I'd have had a few...

    S&W .22 mag

NO!!! The .22Mag and .22LR are two different rounds and do not interchange. The Magnum case is bigger around than the Long Rifle so if you fire the LR in the Mag case you take the chance of splitting the case and getting a face full of high pressure gas. Can it be done? Yes. Should it...

    Entry Level Revolver

I don't believe you can find a better gun today than a GP-100, if it already interests you then there's no need to consider anything else. It will do all you ever need a .357 to do which is just about anything you'll ever need a handgun to do. A GP will also last beyond a lifetime. What's not...

    327 mag revisted

I think as time goes by, the round will show itself to be very versatile and useful. I've yet to hear anybody who's actually used the round say anything bad about it. The negative comments tend to come from folks who have no experience with it.

Anyone have or shot a Ruger Single Six .22/.22 magnum?

The Single Six is my most favored gun but I must agree, they are not all accurate. I've had several and some have been good, some bad, and one so far has been awesome and that one is mine forever. I'll give you some advice when it comes to .22's in general and see where it gets you. Try...

North American Arms Top Break Here

Agree that it's a cool gun, also agree the price is too high. I've got both a LR and a Mag model of the mini's and would buy this one too if it were priced more realistically. I was really looking forward to the .32 model they scrapped.

    S&W--Hey or Ney?

In the game of today, I like the Ruger best between Smith and Ruger products. I own several Smiths with the lock and have no issue with it or the MIM parts, but the Rugers just seem to exude better quality. In the end, you should buy what appeals to you the most and then ensure that the...
