    Assault Weapon Ban 2018

Going against gun owners is always a vote loser. WE need to keep educating the people about WHY 2A and RKBA are important in preventing us from being turned into sheep without sheepdogs. Because, then the wolves will come.

Vermont to impose UBCs, mag limits, 21 age requirement

Universal Background checks = rgistration = confiscation. Good bye in about 3 years, Vermont. Unless they repeal UBC.

Why registering guns is not the same as registering cars

Yes, one strategy by anti-RKBA groups is to attribute a heavy public burden to gun ownership, one that requires heavy taxation and registration. Anything to get that registry. Once guns are registered, it's over. :)

Why registering guns is not the same as registering cars

WE HAVE to start talking about the intellectual and deeper reasons for 2A. It is NOT catering to a bunch of hobbyists and hunters. The new generation needs to be educated on what happens to an unarmed populace that is policed by a few armed people. The results are never pretty. :)

Why registering guns is not the same as registering cars

The point is to arm like-minded people with arguments and ideas that they can take with them as they go to other forums and talk to other people. Your assumption that like-minded people are incapable of finding logical flaws in a discussion is one I disagree with. Have you ever talked to the...

Why registering guns is not the same as registering cars

JSH1, You really need to watch the video in the original post on this thread. It will show you how gun registration has been used for the past 100 years across the world, including here in the USA. It has never been reported to have a positive effect on crime deterrence. Instead it has led to...

Why registering guns is not the same as registering cars

It seems that some conservatives may be leaning towards universal background checks, which we know can only be enforced by registering all firearms in the USA. The usual analogy is "cars are registered, so why not guns?" Here are some reasons why this is a false analogy: 1. A car is a public...

NRA, TIME TO ACT How many have e mailed??

We need to make PHONE calls. Once a week. Get your congressperson and senators' numbers on your speed dial and start calling. It's that simple. Emails are not enough. :)

    Educate every chance you get

Seems like some republicans may be looking to cave on the "gun show loophole" and may be OK with requiring federally mandated NIC checks for ALL sales, even those private FTF sales in states. Here IMHO is why this is a really bad idea: 1. There is no Gun show loophole. The exact same state and...

    Educate every chance you get

Depends on State Law. If someone breaks the law and sells to a resident of another state, knowingly, then making more laws will not solve the problem.

    Educate every chance you get

The same laws exist at a gun show as outside the gun show. There is NO gun show loophole.

    Where do I sign up?

I STRONGLY recommend NRA and GOA. Send money directly to NRA-ILA and to GOA. These 2 have leadership that is spot on, the GOA even more so than teh NRA, but the NRA is pretty good. I avoid SAF since their leader (Gottlieb) was FOR universal background checks, which have been proven and...

Just sharing my "tack" when debating people who want semi-auto rifles banned citing mass events

People view guns as a cost versus benefit issue. If someone has no idea about guns and has no inten tion if ever owning one, they want them banned. Cure: Take them shooting and encourage them to become a gun owner. We have to take back the culture, or we may lose RKBA as some historical curiosity.

Time to go on offense to take care of this mass shooting problem

All of this has been discussed when Carry was first introduced in every state whenever it was introduced. . People created scenarios in their head like the one quoted here. Many states have even re-instituted open carry and in all these cases scenarios like the one in the post I am quoting, were...

Time to go on offense to take care of this mass shooting problem

Taking "gun-free" zone signs OFF a school and making it like ANY other zone in the state should have ZERO effect on insurance costs.
