If they were legal, these would be awesome to have:
Colt M4 Commando (safe/semi/full-auto trigger group, 11.5 inch barrel, bayonet lug, birdcage flash supressor, adjustable stock)
Colt M4 Carbine (safe/semi/full-auto trigger group, 14.5 inch barrel, bayonet lug, birdcage flash...
You wants games which try to simulate gunplay as accurately as possible, play Rainbow Six III: Raven Shield and America's Army: Operations.
Nothing else even comes close...
I have to agree with Preacherman; any weapons are fine with me so long as they are not CBN, or explosive (RPGs, mortars, artillery, rocket launchers, mines, grenades, C4, TNT, missiles, bombs, etc)
Speaking of police, our police are about 10 years behind those of the USA:
Nationwide, our police have just begun the transition from .38 Special and .357 Magnum revolvers to Glock 17 wondernines.
Considering most of our police are crap shots, they need the extra rounds and reduced...
A Glock 17 with a spare mag is 34 rounds.
A 1911-A1 with a spare mag is 14 rounds, 21 if I can manage to carry 2 spare mags.
A Glock 21 with a spare mag is 24 rounds.
A SIG-Sauer P228 with a spare mag is also 24 rounds.
So my point is that I find any of the above combinations...
Of course, if things like explosives (e.g. TNT and C4), rockets launchers and RPG launchers are readily available to anyone, it would certainly make life much more easy for terrorists.
