Ammo came in yesterday and I made it out there today. Federal Hi-shok 115gr. The 9bp stuff. I was cautiously optimistic after seeing the older hollow point bullet profile. And I am using the new mechar mag. But unfortunately I got similar results, though different types of failures, as the old...
Lots of training tactical cool guys will tell you that if you are not seeing your sights you need to train more.
I think the reality is the vast majority of the time you will never pick up your sights. That's not to say that they are not necessary. To the contrary. There are plenty of...
HST 124 gr in my shorter barrels and 147 in my longer barrels. I know that's not really necessary with the HST but it makes me feel better. I also find the +p to be unnecessary with these and Gold Dots.
On a side note, HST 230gr in my .45 and Hornady 110+p FTX in my snub 38.
So to bump a very old thread.
I do have a new Mec Gar Magazine. I did not replace any springs.
Remington UMC 115gr JHPs fed better than the WWB 115gr JHPs, but with both I still had a jam about every 1.5 magazines. I put the project away for a while as I have been distracted by other bright...
I had the LCR and carried it for a while but the reset was WAY to long and light. My wife could not help but short stroke it and I would too if I wasn't thinking about it. Good gun but I ended up trading it off.
Interested in this one.
I hunt with a Ruger No. 1 in .257 Roberts. Killer round. That's my vote.
I am pretty much done at this point buying rifles but for the right price I would buy a .250 Savage.
I had no idea that was an option. I clicked on this thread because I have a model 10-10 police surplus that has lost most of its bluing from years of holster wear. I was thinking about it just this weekend.
Any idea what they charge?
I have a 19 and a 20, both Gen 3s. I also have a .40 conversion barrel for the 20. For years I kept the Glock 19 loaded and occasionally carried it but they are both now relegated to range guns. I have had and traded off a 32 and a 42. The 32 was too snappy and the 42 was not reliable.
I could...
My daughter is 15. She shoots a Colt Trooper with a six inch barrel. It has been a really good gun and will probably go with her when she moves on in a few years. She has also shot my Smith 19-2 and her Uncles Smith 27. But she much prefers the trooper. I load it with Speer Lawman 125gr standard...
I would also like to add, and I understand I am being critical of the OP but this is a discussion forum, that one 20 round box or ammo is absolutely in no way shape or form enough to testing functionality and reliability. That is especially true out of a short barreled gun that was originally...
I will have to admit I am a little confused by this OP.
OP states that he is not a fan of the .45acp 'at all' but he buys one, a compact one no less. Then he goes out and chooses quite possibly the nastiest ammo possible for it when there are several good choices that will be much easier to...
