    Power Pistol Alternatives

BE-86 is not rebranded Power Pistol, so please don't propagate this incorrect information. Power Pistol is slower burning and does not contain flash suppressant, and the BE-86 is slightly faster burning and does contain FS. This results in different charge weights for the two powders in any...

Finally scored some 2400 powder… love it!

We do not recommend 410 powder for centerfire pistol because it was specifically designed to shoot in .410 bore at 12,000 psi, not pistols at 35,000 psi. Please stick with 2400, it goes with 357 Mag like peas and carrots. Be safe, Paul

    best powder for .45 ACP

You will like BE-86 with the hollow points Soupy44. Actually, BE-86 is pleasant to shoot with 230gr FMJ also. Shoot well, Paul

    Flash suppressant powders- Dirty?

410 Powder is definitely not a single base powder. It is 20% NG extruded flake that was designed for shotshell applications. We do not recommend it for magnum pistol because it was not designed to perform in that pressure range. We would have developed loads for magnum pistol applications if it...

    6mm GT Reloading powders

That may be true Nature Boy, but we will try to get ahead of the demand. This is a good one though, so we are currently running uphill.

    6mm GT Reloading powders

AR-Comp is also currently in distribution. It popped at Powder Valley this morning. The market is still quite dry, so popular powders get scooped up as soon as they arrive.

    6mm GT Reloading powders

Our Reloder(R) TS 15.5 was designed with this 6mm GT and other applications that were using Varget or Reloder 15 in mind. Users were pumping more pressure than they wanted into their expensive brass in these applications with those propellants so we developed TS 15.5 which fits between RL 15 and...

    Household move with smokeless powder

    Liquid measuring equipment

Have you considered measuring your liquid by mass instead of volume? We have used that in our processes very effectively for all sort of batch additions.

    Peddle conversation

MEC has both hydraulic and electric progressive shotshell presses. I have a 9000E electric drive that is pretty nice. https://www.mecoutdoors.com/9000e-with-auto-mate

    WIN 296. Vs. A-300 MP

Power Pro(TM) 300MP is also quite popular loading 410 bore for skeet. I load a good amount into 2.5" AAHS hulls, with a Fed209A primer, CB5010HS wad, 226gr #9 and 16gr+/- 300MP. That is a beautiful 1300ft/sec load that will break clays from anywhere on the skeet field, if you put the shot in the...

    Is Alliant still in business?

0519 is the number for our original notified body (for CE assessment and approval), however we have had to move to another notified body 0163 since Brexit. You should see CE 0163 CE mark on all recent production. Yes, our lot number is first, then shift code letter, then pack date. And yes, we...

Need load data for Alliant BE-86 with 115 CPRN

Speer markets two types of plated pistol bullets, the TMJ(R) and CPRN and/or CPFP (profile depends on the caliber). The two types are pretty different after the fact that they are both copper plated onto a lead core. The TMJ is quite good quality, with a heavy copper coating. The CP bullets are...

    Moving with reloading gear

WestKentucky, Good luck on your move. I can appreciate the hassles, as I have moved seven times. Please be careful to understand the regs on transporting the hazmat components of your reloading gear. I snipped the following from the SAAMI guidance we publish in our reloader's guide. I don't...
