I've read all the comments and agree with most. If the person is a full blown anti, who cares if they think you're a blowhard, they already think way worse anyway, I say piss them off. If their a fence sitter take them shooting, go out of your way to do this, a 10/22 and a couple hundred rounds...

I live in a relatively good neighborhood, but carry 95% of the time, an have one near at all times. Its like a security blanket to me, not paranoia. There's a shotgun next to the bed, a pistol on the table where I'm sitting, I just like having good friends around....... ;-)

I have a 1971 .380, and it runs like a Deere. Its a shiny blue, and still looks awesome too, I'd swear my life on it, and do all summer long. Nice gun......;-) I paid almost $300.00 last year, but its very nice.........

Who cares, get the carbine, you can buy a repo paratrooper stock to add later, awesome shooters, with just enough power. Haven't bought .30 cal lately, but it wasn't cheap last time I did........

An 1897 Winchester 12 gauge, a really worn one that still works great, I've got an itch to build a wall trench gun. Have a nice bayo and a really nice repop heat shield bayo lug, been working on a leather sling for a few months now, so its almost soft enough........;)
