YHM Take a look at the YHM phantom line of suppressors. Great quality at even better prices. Quick disconnect flash hiders that are made in numerous different thread patterns. I have the qd hiders on my ak74, ar's, and bolt rifles.

Random, yes that is a real suppressor. and yes it is a bottom of the spectrum ak; a WASR2. Don't say it too loud though, it doesn't know it didn't cost $700; if it hears you it may stop shooting like it. :)

Century was using .224 (for .223 rem) barrels on a round that needs a .221 barrel when building some of the Tantals. Are you getting any key-holes? Not to insult your intelligence but that's where the bullet isn't going in point first.

I personally wouldn't start out with a round that recoils like the 338LM. There's a lot of calibers that are quite capable of 1000 yards that will be a whole lot easier on your shoulder. The longer you can sit at the bench the better you get. I would look at the 6 and 7 mm's, lots of great...

Pull the barrel, and drill a self tapping screw into the primer. It will thread into the primer pocket, which is the thickest point of the case. Leave enough room to get a claw hammer on the screw and use the barrel extension for leverage. I've done this and it works.

Check to make sure the disconnector spring is in it and not worn out. If its gone they will do that.

I agree with Uncle Mike, I have owned two. A great scope!

I would do the witness marks method or create a "range card" for the swap.You can tape it to the gun case then tape over it to protect it from damage. I would adjust the scope first, then if the sights co-witness and are visible with that magnification; move the irons to the scope.
