Have you tried Gunbroker? I've looked off and on for a decent 1100 for some time now and they aren't particularly common for a decent price.

The cheap Winchester hulls, like the value packs, Universals, etc, are junk. Stick to cheap Federals/Remingtons/Rio/Estate/anything else.

That is nice wood on both guns. I might pick up an SP1 one day.

Guy I shoot with has that gun. He refinished the wood and the gun looks a lot better than the price would indicate.

I'm surprised to here you say you really couldn't tell the difference as the stock dimensions (on paper) are completely different. I've been looking at the SP1 for some time now- but with a babay on the way I can't pull the trigger. :)

Statistically 20ga isn't a handicap in skeet. Lots of guys shoot 7/8oz loads in 12ga for skeet with no ill effects.

Wenig might be able to help. An Inletted stock for a 1400 might be able to made fit the S&W. Their New American version is nice.
