I had the Bersa Firestorm years ago. Had to send it for repairs out of the box. It had an exposed spring and really didn't inspired confidence. Mediocre shooter and overly snappy for a .380. Got rid of it. It's just a cheap version of the Walther. Save up for the Walther....

I have to totally agree. I'm sure Korths are great, but some look like they're out of a Mad Max film. Those singles are beautiful. I'd also suggest to the OP that he consider a Manurhin; better looking than the Korths.

What's the big deal about "pre-lock"? Are the pre-lock 686's that much better than the current production? From what I read, people talk about the pre-lock version like it's some kind of grail. LOL....I'm actually torn here. I just don't know if the extra $600 is worth it for the Python. Plus, the Python is so pretty! I'd hate to beat it up with lots of use.

I didn't realize the weight difference! I guess I failed at my homework on this point. How could I, considering that weight is a HUGE factor.

As funny as this statement is, it's probably the exact reason why a Python is preferable.
