my 92Stock is past 20000 rounds. The trigger spring is now starting to be weak. I have changed recoil spring every 5000 rounds. Locking block is fine.

get a wilsonized 92a1.
I saw a Steel-1 for sale for 400€ a week ago. Jesus. Last time I saw one for sale it was 5y ago and $1500...
needless to say I missed the deal, no purchase permit ready... EU sucks.

Completely reliable. It has two extractors. Still, I managed to find coldwar-era ammo from Poland that failed to extract, the rim was round and off spec.

pros: it's fun and saves money. Shooting 9mm/45 is now 6-7c a piece, same as 22lr.
cons: use of time & space, and the fact that one needs expensive alloys to cast for rifles.
I powdercoat. If it wasn't invented I would not be casting at all.

I reload 380 because the factory ammo is way too hot.
N320, Lead Extrusions 6gram TC bullet, 270m/s velocity (very slow). Works very nicely (and accurately!) in a Beretta 84F.
(I'm in EU so self defence is not allowed and humans have no value).

my SR was 900€.
And broke the front sight - early model.
Fine gun with quality or milspec mags. Bad gun with other mags.

reloading 223 does not make sense moneywise, other rifle calibers do. Especially .222 and the finnish oddity 8.2x53R which is 3.20€ PER ROUND...
As for pistol rounds, .40/.45 can be reloaded at half the price, 9mm at -30%. If you cast bullets, they become as cheap as .22LR, 6-8c a pop.

Sounds a lot like Finland, except we don't have requirement for competing/club membership. No magazine capacity or caliber or target type restrictions. Easier transportation. No police checks.
Similarities: no CCW, no home defense, no self defense, requires a "valid reason" and getting permits...
