Would THIS be the absolute ultimate home defense weapon...?

There is some merit to having a shotgun with a large capacity, given how shotguns are slow to reload compared to magazine fed weapons like the AR-15.

Springfield Armory & Rock River Arms - No More for Me

That doesn't inspire confidence. Why does it take a week to tell the truth? If I had a company that was wrongly accused of something, I would get the truth out immediately...

    Combat Shotguns: Dying?

I have used Federal low recoil 00 Buckshot with flitecontrol and can generally score all 9 pellets on the 8 ring or better at 25 yards with my 12 Gauge Mossberg 590A1 shotgun. I don't advocate the shotgun is necessarily the best home defense weapon for a particular person and their situation. I...

    Combat Shotguns: Dying?

Is a single 5.56mm round as effective as a single 12 Gauge Buckshot round at home defense distances?

Springfield Armory & Rock River Arms - No More for Me

You should produce the next Hunger Games movie involving businesses :) Beyond the ethical issues of throwing people under the bus, in the longer term, the same politicians/system will very likely come after you next after a lot of opposition has been destroyed during the last purge(s).

Corrections officers asked to leave Cheesecake Factory — for carrying guns

Although it may depend on the state, besides the generic no gun signs that a business may put up, does the law address other signs like, "no gun except for law enforcement?" Obviously law enforcement can carry in performance of their duties but I wouldn't think that would include stuff like...

    .44 Magnum in law enforcement

On a scale of 1 to 10, from 1 being underpowered to 10 being overpowered, how does the .44 Magnum do regarding power in general law enforcement use, assuming 240-300 grain hollow point loads and a 6 inch barrel?

So how many are there? 300 million or ???

It is interesting to note that the media doesn't seem inclined to latch onto a much larger number of guns like 600 million, 900 million, etc. Why would the media choose a number which seems very low?

How many guns in America? More than you think -

Although there doesn't seem to be an accurate number of guns in the U.S., the media seems content to latch onto the 300 million gun number. I suspect the media wants the number of guns to be alarming (at least in their eyes) but not too high so the issue is ignored because the problem seems...

What's the PRIMARY REASON why the Anti-2A Camp so often seems to be more successful at its mission t

Unless there is gun registration, Universal Background Checks (UBC) are generally unenforceable. If I had to guess, I'd say the anti-gun types will try and pass UBC first, whine about how its unenforceable and then demand there be gun registration so the law can be enforced.

What's the PRIMARY REASON why the Anti-2A Camp so often seems to be more successful at its mission t

Possibly but I'm not sure more anti-gun people vote than pro-gun people. I'm more inclined to think, though, the general anti-gun position of the Government, education and media establishments are far more to blame for stuff like the brainwashing of people into a anti-gun position. The...

What's the PRIMARY REASON why the Anti-2A Camp so often seems to be more successful at its mission t

The anti-gun types are successful because they get more gun restrictions to stick than are repealed.

    Here is our future

It has always been the position of those whose views aren't generally held by the population of this country to resort to using the courts and/or bureaucracies to force others to uphold their views...

New California Law Requires Annual Government Inspection of Weapons?

If I had to guess I'd say California would end up requiring gun owners sign a statement about what guns they own and perform random checks to verify. If you own guns and make a false statement or no statement at all, heavy fines and/or jail time.

California referenda petitions sadly did not get enough votes

Although it would have been nice to let the people vote on a referendum, it probably wouldn't of made much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. If a referendum is voted on and passes, there is nothing to stop the government from passing the same or similar laws again. If that fails...
