I have an M1 that was converted by Fulton Armory to shoot .308/ 7.62. I had it done at a time when there was very little 30-06 surplus available and .308 surplus was plentiful (it needed a barrel anyway). Of course, Murphy's Law took over and shortly afterwards the reverse happened.....oh...

I handled one of the RTF Glock 22's at the SHOT show. I thought it was GREAT. I asked them when it will be coming out in other models, they said just the 22 for now, and maybe others later. It felt just terrific to me, way better than the standard grip.

Savage still makes their Scout rifle too. Put a Leupold 2.5 Scout scope on it and you're done. Only thing is it does have removable magazines.

How do you think they would shoot at lower velocities (reduced loads)? I'm thinking about it too.

My experiences with both models are the same as Weedmonk's. In addition, I found the 36 recoil and grip unpleasant. No feeding or mechanical problems, just didn't like it.
