I have a blackhawk bisley with .45c and .45 acp cylinders. through plenty of reading it seems almost a rule that the chamber throats are undersized and in need of reaming to provide the best accuracy least amount of leading with lead bullets. my question is should i attempt this myself, or...

aren't 30-30 and .45-70 chamber pressures less than .454 casull? also, from what i've read BFR frames and internals are the same as rugers and cast by the same company.

The one on the right is a 3.75" super blackhawk in .44 mag with the bisley grip. Plenty comfy for all day shooting with magnum loads, and tons of fun. Much more enjoyable to shoot than a friends 4" 629,and he agrees. I don't have one (yet), but a super redhawk is on my short list. just...

oops...missed the 'double action' part the first time around. here's my gp100 with both compact and full size grips, both with macassar ebony inserts, one satin and one gloss.

here's a couple. 3.75" .44mag, and 5.5" .45 convertible. these are hopefully soon to have custom stocks. i'll have to take a nice pic of my gp100 as well.

not sure where you are sourcing them, but gunbroker shows about $100 difference between the two. with regard to the transfer bar, i don't even notice it in mine. never even thought twice about it.

I have several blackhawks, the most recent being a stainless .45 bisley convertible. as mentioned, put your hands on one in person if possible. i have had issues with a few i've ordered sight unseen, that required a trip back to ruger. however, each time, ruger sent a prepaid shipping...

i recently picked up a blakchawk .45 convertible. I'm considering doing a bisley conversion on it. I currently have a lipsey's .44 mag super blackhawk bisley and love the way it handles, even with heavy loads. my main questions are how much actual fitting does the grip frame typically...

seems like you went from selling it, to keeping it, to selling it...all in about three hours. i'd say hang onto it until you sure of your decision.
